Very very good player. Better than Reiwoldt, Pavlich but JB I dunno.....

dedja can't see North of Anzac Highway so take his opinion with a grain of salt.

Tredrea better the Reiwoldt, Pavlich, Brown? Splitting hairs to be honest. Tredrea, Brown and Reiwoldt have all at the peak of their careers been the go to man in the team who was at or near the top of the table. That's the mark of a truly great CHF IMO, one who is playing in one of the very best sides and although Pavlich is now in a team at the top of the table ( 2013 anyway ) he is simply a brilliant player and leader.

You'd be foolish to try and split the 4 of them or rank them in order.

People have forgotten Tredrea's struggling end of career and are witnessing the very same from Brown right now. But all four difficult to split for sure. Perhaps longevity is the 'circuit breaker' even though I'm aware Tredders is older than the rest. I remember watching him running around for the Pies with you and your family at Footy Park around 96 (?) and thinking 'how good is this bloke' but naturally I couldn't tell you Port scum that. :)

Too many stars to choose from, but I thought Peter Matera might have at least rated a mention in their discussions as a wingman or HBF

On previous posts I think Jezza deserves a spot in the team of the Century however he owns the most overrated mark in the games history.

I've seen 50 marks better with Brett Burton beaten by Gary Moorcroft as the best in my opinion. Smith got high but Burton was in a massive contested pack on the move and Moorcroft was just an absolute peice of art @ full stretch...

Gary Moorcroft's mark is the best mark ever. As you said LK, an absolute piece of art.

Call me a big moments kinda guy- the best mark I have ever seen is Leo Barry in the 2005 Grand final.

For Speccies, although its debatable that he controlled it- Ablett over Pert in 1994.

Very debatable indeed.

I doubt he was really in control after we swung himself around. Top marks for those acrobatics...

I think this is why Jezza's grab in 1970 is so highly regarded. Carlton needed someone (and something) to inspire them, and this grab, not to mention the use of handball and Teddy Hopkins, did just that.
