Couldn't beat Essendon, Carlton or Adelaide (who will all probably miss the eight), fell in against Richmond and beat the Giants.
Last chance in the next 30 mins I reckon.

They were never gonna make the eight this year anyway. Good young midfield though, forward lone still an issue obv

I don't know why we persist with Liam jones... He is a liability! I hope he does get games just so he can't play...

Give jack redpath a few games, surely he can at least give a par effort to what jones has been providing for the past 3 seasons!!!
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Just watching tonight's game now and wowee Brian Taylor is a wanker. Very surprised if he gets another gig next season.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Monday night game not shown on free-to-air?! What the hell is the point of these 'trial' fixtures if you're not going live to a full audience?

Give fox a standalone timeslot so they can get the most value out of the TV rights they chipped in for

Brisbane- 3
GWS- 2
St. Kilda- 2
Adelaide- 2
Richmond- 1
West Coast- 1
Gold Coast- 1
Essendon- 1
Fremantle- 1
Carlton- 1

There has also been four games between the 45-49 margin as well.

At least in terms of the crows they were in it into the last qtr in both of the games but just fell away at the end. So saying that the games were over at half time isn't quite correct.

It does seem that there are a few blowouts though. That's just a consequence of more attacking footy too.

Benny it's funny you bring up the attacking footy comment it's one thing I've always hated about Sydney and Freo yet Friday night the Swans were actually quite attacking it was good to watch I guess with that forward line now why wouldn't you attack?

Freo just play an ugly brand of footy which brought us down for 3 1/4s yesterday. I love the way Port are currently attacking and trying to score at every opportunity. Hence kicking nearly 20 goals every game

It's the cocked up 6 games a weekend for 3 weeks that see's this occur. It's funny Fox pay so much to show St.Kilda v Carlton.

This split round scheduling is the worst the AFL has dished up.

I dont know why they feel like they have to split it over 3 rounds instead of 2.

If they did it over 2, had 10 teams having 1 bye, and 8 in the next round, it means we would have 5 games in 1 round, and 4 in the next. still covering most timeslots, but getting the split round out of the way earlier. It bloody sucks for AFL fantasy too, and given over 200k people have fantasy teams these days, I actually think that is a relevant consideration

Mate, anything that's termed "fantasy" should have absolutely zero bearing on anything that's actually real. Sorry, but you can stick the importance of your fantasy team up your, well, fantasy. ;)

Just have a weekend off altogether dead bang in the middle of the season. Play 12 rounds, everyone has a week off. Even the most ardent of football junkies will survive a weekend without AFL footy.

In fact, the AFL should make it "Grass Roots Round" and encourage all football people to go to SANFL, VFL, WAFL games or go round the corner and watch some parklands footy and buy a steak sanger and a beer to support your local club. That would be better than any split round ever, IMHO. ( Mainly because I thought it up! )
