They set up an ICAC in NSW to inquire into Labor 'corruption' - instead, it nets various Ministers of the LNP, including the Premier, plus Sinodinos in Federal Cabinet.
It now appears that their election campaign was bankrolled by the Mafia in Victoria.
... and as for half-a-term Tony and Joe... enough said!

The way the ICAC has panned out I't say that Labor was the fart that preceded the long drawn out liberal diarrhoea that we are witnessing at present.

Libs take money off Mafia man

"The suspected Mafia godfather of Melbourne helped bankroll a Liberal Party marginal federal seat campaign in the 2013 election, raising the prospect that the proceeds of crime have flowed into Liberal coffers".

"The alleged crime figure's fundraising occurred despite Liberal politicians knowing of his suspected involvement in organised crime and in a previous political donation scandal investigated by federal police".

Another one for the ICAC!

I don't think I can tolerate Christopher Pyne in the media for the full term of this Government. Please Tony, send him to the backbench before he drives us all insane with his poorly constructed arguments, false analogies, and hideous voice. I'd rather listen to someone run their fingernails across a blackboard several dozen times.

Are they cutting funding?

Jimmy you really are showing your true colours.

I'm just dumb shoe boy
Are they cutting funding (that means what we are getting now) or cutting the promises made by a dying desperate previous government?

I am the first one to say keep religion out of politics unless the churches start paying their taxes like every other corporation, but I couldn't help researching this following a conversation with a very proud jesuit last weekend

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/jesuit-old-boys-now-our-leaders/story-fn59niix-1226718806547#

Funny how the latest budget; so horrible to the poor and vulnerable, came from, and is almost exclusively defended by, the jesuits in power...........

So are most of the critics but there's no bonus in admitting the deception for the opposition.
Happy to debate several parts of this letter with any of you, but, obviously, it doesn't suit you to be honest....

When you published the post I thought you were being sympathetic rather than baiting up for a debate. What are your concerns with the letter?

Abbott/Liberal Govt Watch

Postby bennymacca » Fri May 30, 2014 8:38 am

"It is clear that many Australians do not have any great respect for the scientific method or scientific practice. It seems way too common to regard science as just another belief system, nothing but boffin-based opinion. The result is that science is permitted no special claim to truth, which is a very dangerous, essentially mediaeval, state of affairs. What on Earth has happened?"

Well, for a start, the concerned doctor doesn't have to charge the $7 co-payment, so although he is trying to convey his concerns, he is actually only trying to protect his own income which would reduce by $2 per visit.

Also the woman in question would not be exempt from New Start payments (ie for 6 months) because she has kids.

Yep, which highlights my point that there is a lot of misinformation about the budget being published.

Am I right that Cwth funding is not actually being cut for SA but is being indexed by 9%?
What is being cut is the big jumps in later years promised by the former federal govt?
