Round 14 Jargon

Postby valleys07 » Fri Jun 20, 2014 5:09 pm

Who has a full side yet?

Who is praying for no late withdrawals as their bench looks as bare as a baby's arse?

Who has **** all trades left?

Who is staring down the barrel of relegation?

I cant think of anymore questions...

Chat away peeps..

9 Trades left here.
Still a couple weaknesses in my side. Bench cover in defence and in the forward line is thin.
And I have Ambrose fielded at the moment.
Thinking ill trade Higgins for Chad Wingard.
Also thinking of bringing Martin in, but not sure if that is a shite idea.

Lack of downgrades this week. Still did 2 trades though to leave me with 9.

Michael Johnson out for Jim Bartel
Jobe Watson out for Nicky Dal

Mids - Full premiums with Shenton and Hallahan both waiting for downgrade targets
Backline - still have Langdon and McDonald, with only 1 needed other is emerg. Prob look to upgrade Langdon at some stage and keep McDonald as cover for the year.
Rucks - Set and forget although if a downgrade for Dericx occurs I will pull the trigger.
Forwards - Still have Higgins who I'll prob keep and also have to choose between Shooter McGovern and Ambrose for on field spots.

That might be my trading done for a while until a decent downgrade or 2 come along, then look to upgrade F6 and D6, then see what happens come finals.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Whilst it's been somewhat of a disasterous season for me I'm pretty happy with where I am, although I've had to trade my arse off and only have four trades left.

Two upgrades to go to get a full team, and my DEF, MID and RUCK cover is pretty solid.

Only need to jag one more win I reckon to avoid the drop from Hogg I and can still make the finals if I string a few wins together.

Traded KK for Bartel this morning.

And of course at half time, Bartel has only had 1 kick and KK has had 10

So I Just checked how my team was doing after this afternoons games. Somehow, my trade didnt go through

Finally a bit of luck going my way in SC this year!

Of course Bartel will now kick the winning goal and KK go missing in the second half....

What a day today, usually Sundays have been sad for me this year, but today had some mixed good luck.
Pre Sunday games
Me - boomer, Tyson, montagna
Spuds - Murphy, Simpson +132pts
I was somewhat of an underdog until
Murphy late out (obrien 50 scores) and Simpson scores 32
Montagna pulled out leaving me with shenton to cover (he scored 69)
Then boomer and Tyson got me well passed the line to keep my season alive :)

If I was spuds I'd feel pretty ripped off today

Was in a similar situation, losing Murphy for Shenton and my opponent losing Montagna. Unfortunately he had Billings as cover. Surprised I was even in the match right til the end having M. Thomas (Sub), R. Shaw, Langdon and Zorko all pulling well below expected

Took a punt with miles emergency this week. After Friday nights game, chose to move Swan to the bench, acres on, and swan only got 90, the lowest of my mids. Lucky move.
Team full across the ground, just need forward bench cover. I'll wait another week before I make a move. Looking at the young north guy, the fwd/ruck.
