meh. novice.

You know what marbles.. I actually think there is a very tiny bit of logic and sense to what you said, and on a small scale I would agree with part of it.

After such a strong start to the season on the back of a successful year last season, it can be easy to become complacent at this time of the season - especially when you play a month of football against the lower sides. Sitting top of the ladder and winning games (against bottom sides) with ease, players may feel like the challenge isnt there, they may feel like they've reached the peak and the rest is going to just happen, and yes they may lose sight of what they're trying to achieve and how to get there.

It was only this time 2 years ago the club was sitting at the opposite end of the ladder preparing to be relegated with only 4 wins - and they most successful season for some time. I still vividly remember the constant floggings and cricket score margins that occured week in/week out and the rapid downhill spiral through the grades - that should be driving the players to keep pushing forward! Been a good 18 months but need to look long term and keep striving.

Well done.

Excellent example of how Central United have taking positive steps forward this year, and why those douche bags who dont play them or know better shouldn't jump in and bag the club on their misdemeanours or think they know about their culture and question when other clubs say they've been more disciplined etc.

... Or if you have loose cannons you're well aware of, and are aware of sanctions that will come down when loose cannons will be loose cannons you can suggest they play football elsewhere?

Woody is just a kid still, and has obviously in the past been allowed to do as he pleases and get away with it from the club. He needs a firm hard and support/guidance from the club to iron out those faults. Can play football, once he manages to control the other crap he will become a better player again.

Yes he's still a kid but was only one punch away from seeing his club exiled forever and he was oh so close.

I was more interested in watching 3 of his teammates escort him to the interchange bench and make sure he went from the ground. All credit to his mates. :)

yeah PG when u reach a peak off the back of a lot of momentum, especially coming from being the comps whipping boys 18 months ago, youd be finding the momentum has no where else to rise to

this happening 5-6 weeks before the major round is not the best time as your boys training im guessing has become relaxed with easy run throughs.

i doubt this is the case for a west croyden at their trainings as just smashing the top side by a lazy 10 goals to me means their boys as a total unit could run an average of 5-6km straight where your boys could only do 3-4km

having played a lot of div 1 and now helping out in div 7 for me the major difference between the best sides and weak sides is engine capacity

Couldn't be further from the truth, the training is still very intense and working hard. It's probably more a mental approach to the games that has dropped away.

Don't get me wrong, i'm still confident the lads can turn it around in both grades when it matters, probably the slap in the face wake up call they needed.

well hello your boys just got smacked by 14 goals

id say theyre mentally willing but their lungs cant keep up, and in turn theres a few slack f#cks running around cos they cant be bothered chasing the man quite like they used to

As for our B grade.. Not saying this is the reason, but since Rd 9:
PG backlines - 11 quarters, opposition kicked 8 goals
PG midfield - 1 quarter, Ingle Farm 4 goals to 1
PG forward lines - 9 quarters, opposition kicked 19 goals

 8) not saying that's the difference.. But.. Oh wait yes I am!

Games PG hasn't played - Ingle Farm 40 scoring shots to 3

hes 16 or 17 is he?

hes been a loose cannon since he started playing..i cant see him changing..if he couldnt or wouldnt change this year with so much riding on it, when do you think he really will? and he gets no more close attention than any other important player in a team gets and they dont all go beserk..think of the club not yourself and stop being so selfish..they won by 20 goals..it wasnt even a close game..why so angry??

Was actually lucky he got his arse handed to him and wasn't really able to throw anything decent. Also lucky the ump didn't see the cheeky elbow that started it.

And what's with your signature!?! You love my myths Yanky!

Ok ok.... so from reading the comments below this, CU's probably best player, who is a known loose cannon, who has already been suspended this year, lost his temper badly enough to have to be escorted from the ground by his team mates, when this player obviously knows that if he had acted further on his anger his club would have been completely screwed?

Big congratulations to this player he did not resort to striking, poo smearing or spitting, or is that only because his team mates removed him??

I'm not saying the club isn't working to improve, just that to call them 'disciplined' is a obviously a load of rubbish. FFS, how many sides had to remove a player, with the aid of a number of team mates, because he can't control his anger and risk the consequences????

Maybe PG, youre just a massive douche bag.
