Re: SAAFL Division 7 2014
So why not extend promotion and relegation between div 7 and div 8 then (for C/D teams)?

I would have thought this is a perfectly reasonable idea. I.e if a C/D Grade is Div 7 is struggling whilst one in D8 is dominant it would make perfect sense to swap them (within the normal principals of promotion and relegation)

And then make them exempt from promotion to D6. Seems a lot more workable than shuffling every division.

Re: SAAFL Division 7 2014
fact is we have as a league a massive expansion opportunity
but in the way are 5 agrade who have no hope of going to div 6 again for at least 4 or 5 years
mitchell park, av, wingfield, north pines & flinders uni
do we wait 5 years & hope they might get their acts together, and dismiss 5 years of massive expansion, just so mr flaking fish at the back can keep up?
your asking for massive losses if that is the case

Re: SAAFL Division 7 2014
this is a business & u cannot forget what the customers want
there are 1000 cgrade & dgrade footballers out there who DONT have the time or the energy to play against agrade players anymore
continue to make them do this & continue to watch them leave
create an exciting environment that harnesses everything theyd love & & you watch them flock to play & be apart of something cool fun & awesome

Henley's C Grade looked like they really hated playing Wingfield's A Grade

There's a false assumption here that the commitment of D7 A-graders is markedly different from D7 C-graders.

Marbles
Firstly, you've already got your own thread for this drivel, so keep it out of here. You won't be warned again.
secondly...these 5 A Grade sides you talk up are in fact 5 clubs with an equal say in the running of the League, just like your club
You don’t get an extra say because you have extra teams; this isn’t the NEMJFA where the Big Clubs rule the roost
There is nothing stopping your club with their equal say rallying the troops and advancing your great cause of C Grade Super Leagues
The fact is your club hasn’t raised it, which one can only assume means they either don’t know about it or simply don’t think it worth worrying about in the overall scheme of things
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, but not from the forum pages, perhaps attend a delegates meeting and put forward your case to the other clubs. This is where the decisions are made so go preach to the decision makers
You will get a good hearing and at least a decision one way or another will get made on it, if you choose not to then I think I speak for all and sundry and STFU

I think it would be counter to Marbles argument of segregation I think.....ie not having the C/D grades clash with stand alone Clubs that field a single team unless Div 7 was a C/D's Division as well...

You could formulate two teams, have one for just A Grade players and another one for C Grade players.
