they changed management and it went downhill at a rapid rate

the course at the moment is in a lot better than it has been in the past.

but the greens on the 8th are truly deplorable and have been for too long!

Echunga is a better option than Belair

I reckon I could take over that joint and make it stunning, if I had half an education on how to cultivate a golf course.

had an 81!!!! Was keeping score on an app I use as I didnt have a pencil.

Had a 43 front 9

Included 2 holes that were shocking and unlucky

Not many out there today which was nice

fairways were in good nick for them

The 8th green looks like my backyard.....still after all these years and my backyard aint in good condition

Sh!t course for a course in the hills IMO

Agreed. Played there maybe 6 months ago and thought it was ok but not worth the drive. Won't play it again unless its free.

Also only course I have came across where they ask for a bond to use the carts. $200 from memory! WTF?
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Where would you even start?

No space. The front 9 is very short and tight.

No water storage.

No chance of growing grass in the heavy clay soil rough without extensive ground prep.

I'd start by making sure the greens weren't an absolute debacle.

How's the form of my boss. Rings me last week and tells me him and the wife are hiring a camper van and driving over from Melbourne and doing a golf tour. Monday Grange, Tuesday Royal Adelaide, Thursday Kooyonga, Friday Glenelg, Sunday Renmark, Tuesday Mildura and then others on the way back to Melbourne.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Yes, my opinion on the boss's form hinges on whose wife he is taking.

The boss would be in fine form if he took your wife away for the week

that would be no work for you but plenty of golf and booze

Yeah I asked on the weekend how they figure it out when starting.

After submitting 3 cards, they take your lowest score, and multiply it by .93 to get your first handicap.

Once you have played 7 rounds, its the average of your 2 lowest scores. 9 rounds = 3 scores, etc

Once you get over 20 cards, its the average of your lowest 8 scores, from your most recent 20 scores, multiplied by .93.

Lobbed one into the moon like crater on the 3rd and somehow got it up and out of it in 1

Any danger of putting aside some of those exorbitant membership fees to putting some basic information on the tee block like distance from each marker and maybe a basic map of the hole? Apart from that I did enjoy the layout but I don't think it can overtake my favourite Kooyonga just yet...

Well looks like some bloke called Adam Scott didn't need a course map last Friday shot 67 with only 8 clubs including a regular sized putter
