I'm missing something. This isn't doing it for me at all. Everyone's raving over it but I feel it's a bit disjointed for mine.

Watch it from the start of the first series.

I did.

Enjoyed the 1st series, but got 3 ep's into season 2 and haven't been back for another look. Disappointing because I was really into it initially.

yeah I'm the same - got about halfway through the second season and then just stopped watching it. turned too much into a soap opera

I've finally gotten around to watching Friday Night Lights, and am enjoying it thus far (late in season 1).

Also the missus has latched on to the United States Of Tara so have been watching that with her - Pretty funny show and Toni Collette is genius in it (but sadly still has the head of a bashed crab)

The actor that plays 'The Mountain' in Game Of Thrones has broken an Icelandic strongman record by lifting a giant log weighing 640kg.

I didn't think it was that good tbh.
I'm sure it will get better but I found it a bit lacklustre

Gallipoli didn't have me on the edge of my seat, despite my high interest in the topic.
The opening scene in the boat was excellent and, as usual, I found myself getting angry at the loss of life - it happens whenever I watch/read anything on the subject.

How many eps is it?

You know you're getting old when the gorgeous Justine Clarke is playing mother to teenagers.

I thought Gary Jubilan was good as the lieutenant who kept running messages. He gave a good perspective on the desperation and frenetic movement that occurred on that day.

The guy playing Attaturk was also good. Gave that amazing sense of power that made the Father of the Turks such a leader of men.

The thing that crossed my mind whilst watching it was that our nation is commemorating the Gallipoli landings with a multitude of TV dramas and I wondered what the Turkish tv programs on the subject would be like.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Eight episodes - starting at 9am on a Monday night.
That's going to be tough.
