What are peoples thoughts on Bontempelli? Over achieving or must have?

I don’t currently have him but am wondering whether I should get him in before his price rise or wait and see how he handles stronger opposition.

That’s the question that has me wondering. I know the dogs have a tough run coming up with Hawks, Crows and Swans, however the kid is a tackling machine, 10 last week.

Thoughts on these trades

Ablett -> Sloane
Miller -> NVB

I've got other areas to fix up like Goodes, Lambert and possibly Cripps but feel they can wait a week. I see a couple of issues with trades, it puts 3 crows in my mids and NVB is an expensive cash cow. Im hoping that the cows run up into the bye rounds will generate some good cash and let me easily upgrade NVB into a fallen premo

I went similarly with GAJ to Bonts and Beams to NVB .. Not sure if the right tactic because I wanted to move Cameron, but I have a sizable bank now to do that soon enough.

Leuenberger's crap start to the season has dropped a big shitburger on me. I was keen on Oxley for Goodes and I want Smith but because Luey is crap I've missed out on Oxley. Naturally, Collingwood play tonight so I can't sit back and see what happens in relation to a Smith late out or an Oxley benching or a Goodes LRO.

My opponent has Bellchambers so I'm thinking Luey > Belchambers. He'll rack them up against a suspect Carlton ruck unit and his breakeven score is low.

Hoping for

- Brodie Smith late out so he won't go up in price
- Oxley vest
- Goodes dropped or avoid vest and score more 64

If the opposite happens Oxley is off the radar and I'll get Smith anyway as my bank which is good already will have an extra 56k added to it. I have the top six in terms of lowest breakevens might have to suck it up on number 7 (Oxley) and keep Goodes and hope he pulls his finger out and gets me some points. He is my D7 at the moment.

Here's the thing. NVB isn't a keeper. That means you'll be burning another trade later to upgrade NVB. Better off holding on to Miller and using him to get you a premium rather than someone who is priced like a first round draft pick. NVB did well to ton up last week but you'd only want to trade him in if you think he is going to be in the top ten mids by the end of the year.

Who is your other ruckman? I went Goldy/Luey and Goldy has served me well. Not so Luenburger who is going to cop the rage trade this week. Cost my match last round and he's stuffed up my team building strategy this week too.

NicNat + Luey (em: Read)

Got TBC up forward so will use Read's DPP to cover Luey with TBC.

Forward line will be a bit thin this week though.

I was hoping to trade Luey after a few weeks and his round one score was encouraging. Perhaps he is not right.
