We don't want any trouble, well ya got trouble, big trouble!! Bye Cats
gee the cow supporters are up and about... April premiers?
Just a matter of who they play mate, just a matter of who they play. With wins over the Kangaroos, Collingwood and Melbourne, they're flying as one.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.
If you want to go far, go together.

Not all Crows supporters think the same as WCpanther.
The Crows draw is an easy one. The Crows were tested a little on Saturday but we are still to see how they handle the pressure from the likes of Port, Freo and Hawthorn yet.
I'm expecting finals from the Crows, still a long way to go to be thinking anything else.

yeah you can't be happy, otherwise you will be accused of thinking your side is somehow premiership favourites.
back to geelong though, they looked pretty ordinary on the weekend.
They just don't seem to have that middle tier of midfielders looking to step up.
Good point made by Robbo the other week - who is the cats second best mid? (behind selwood obviously)
If you discount bartel and stevie who both are getting on and both probably play outside of the centre square more often than in, who have you got?
Motlop, Guthrie and Caddy probably.
Thats pretty average reading really.
Geelong's mids don't seem to bat as deep as other clubs at the moment.
Pretty sure this is the year that they miss the finals.

Apparantly Geelong can't, hence the comments.

Last time I checked, it's still only the end of round 3 in April.
Give out all you like at this time of year, come September, don't forget how to log in if things turn to shit for your respective team...

Sadly Tom Hawkins' mother has passed away after a long illness.
Reports he won't play this week either and is an "indefinite" for the time being.

If you had watched the game you would have understood the comment. Bartel gone, Lonergan gone, Stokes gone. They were flogging us in the clearances all day and we had no run yet got the job done. Several veterans turned the corner a bit and younger players like Gregson, Lang, Cockatoo, Thurlow and Stanley showed they had a future.
I ain't even mad.

Crows playing some good footy so good luck to the Blackbirds fans. I really enjoyed the game against Melbourne.

Bloody sad for Tommy and his family. Like Nick Reiwoldt, he can't play till he is ready.

Only round 4 but Enright & Kelly looked slow & almost out of their depth yesterday - fair call or overreaction?

A fair call. Father time waits for no man except Dustin Fletcher. Kelly played well against the Gold Coast and in my opinion has something to offer still. Enright has struggled all season as has Stokes and Johnson. The mind is still willing but the body isn't responding anymore and Enright in particular appears to have played one season too long. Add to that Bartel and Mackie can't get on the park.
The post above refers to our youth being 'the problem' but the problem is actually the stunted development of our second tier players such as Duncan, Caddy, Smedts and Motlop. All have gone backwards this year. The 'youth' are actually travelling nicely. Gregson, Lang, Thewlis, Bews and Cockatoo are all good prospects but Cockatoo needs to go to the Cockatwos for a while to get a bit of confidence back.
The big problem, and has been for some years is Chris Scott.

Yeah I think so Carona. For me I would bring Smedts back but play him up forward where he belongs instead of Walker who can't play as the third tall. Walker can't stay in the side while we have Stanley and Clark sharing ruck duties. If we go Blics/Clark in ruck then Walker can play in his natural position as a key forward. I would play Gore and give Cocky a rest. The kid has enormous potential but at the moment he is mucking it up whenever he gets it. The fact that he can get it is the key. He can work out what he does with it in the VFL for a while and be a better player for it.
Another player on thin ice for me is Murdoch. He offers very little in the way of creativity or phsyical presence. I'd be very tempted to have a look at bringing in another youngster Kolajaznee (Can't spell it even though there are two of them LOL) and hopefully we get Lonners back next week. Yesterday's match was bad not at least we had a crack and I'm not sure that was the case for large sections of the Freo and Hawthorn matches.
Our non-existent game plan is an absolute joke. We have been bombing it long and high for four seasons in a row now. I challenge any SAFOOTY user to find a dumber coach in the AFL than Chris Scott. He has botched the transition and we need someone like Lingy to get in there and rescue Caddy, Motlop, Murdoch and Duncan and to bring on the promising youngsters.

Re: Geelong 2015
Personally i think you need more ex Melbourne players in your team, get Sam Blease in there, perhaps even that last Melbourne coach would be an option to replace Scott. You need to get back to pre 2007 asap, the signs are promising but you're not there yet
