I don't think a forward line could have all of Lockett, Dunstall and Ablett Snr.

For best forward line for my time watching footy , I would have something like:

FF Hird Lockett, Platten
HF Ablett Snr, Carey, D Jarman

I'm only 51 y.o. but saw both play. Royce Hart by the length of the MCG. He owned that position.
Turned the 73 Prelim on its ear coming off the bench in the 3rd quater over Collingwood when the tigers were 6 goals down and stamped his authority very early in the 74 GF against Nth Melb with some telling goals when they were the Roos tried to take control of the game.

I was filthy about getting a back pocket.....then I saw I had Matthew Richardson. I reakon I could make him cry with sledging alone and have him beat by halfway through the first.
