Felch its far from stupid, it was his honest opinion. Pat on the back to yourself though as he mentioned that he had never played in a hungrier team than the Thunder reserves and that it was the best feeling team he has been a part of.

Heater surely your not going coy just yet and expect to sneak into finals?

Will the final five more than likely be?
P/Hills
Salisbury
Nth Haven
Pultney
Pooraka

I suppose it comes down to who has the easier run home but in saying that I think the weekend proved that no really has an easy run and anything can happen still.

Personally I would like some more consitency week in week out. Beat the top side last week and it is vital that a decent performance is put in against the 2nd side this week. We pushed the Hawks all the way to 3 1/4 time last meeting and the preceded in the last 1/4 to get done over easily which will not be acceptable again this time around. Not being a player who is directly involved with this grade I sometimes wonder why it works some weeks and not the others.

but hey if we put in the same performance agian who knows what will happen

Maybe silly is a better word then FM. You left Mitcham out of your final five too.

Fifth spot is definately up for grabs - if i take my Portland cap off for a moment, heres my honest opinion, based on the last few weeks.
All three teams - Pulteney, Pooraka and Portland - are all inconsistent performers. Pulteney have beaten Portland recently, Portland have beaten Pooraka recently. Pulteney have also beaten Para Hills and Haven, something that Portland havent. Pooraka were very good when i saw them play in round 1 this year, that day i thought they were a serious contender. Portland are yet to beat one of the teams higher than them, something which the other 2 have. I would have written off Pooraka, until the weekend when they beat Salisbury, one of the sides i rate very highly. They are back in the mix for sure now. If i was going to have a bet on the fifth spot, i would back Pulteney. I think they are just going slightly better than the other 2.
After seeing Mitcham on the weekend, i think they are a flag chance for sure, especially on big, dry ovals come finals time. They have excellent depth aswell.
As far a relegation goes, i think Ingle Farm and Rosewater might suffer this fate.
All this obviously just my opinion, but tried to be unbias.

well said felch
only thing that i would say differently is I reckon pooraka are a better chance to take fifth spot then pultney
if portland win this weekend
then I reckon we might have enough to steal the fifth spot
otherwise another year watching the finals for us boys!!

Nah Heater, not quite good night nurse, but this game might determine whether Pulteney cement a place in the 5 early with good wins or will struggle to the end and miss out by percentage like they did last year.

exactly what I'm getting at FC the next two games are critical and given our record of last year trying to win only 1 out of 3 its not good

Just a feeling i have. Farmers to play at home and will know this will be there last chance to do anything to stay up. They should have Mount and another couple of handy players back from injury by then and will need a win for Glen who is a legend at the club. Would love to see them put up a great fight this week against there old rivials in Pooraka. These two sides were rivials in the 70s and 80s and then didnt play each other for 20 yrs.

Ingle Farm will claim the spoon easily and if Pooraka play like they did against us, they will win by 20 goals on Saturday.

We didn't, we did them by 10 goals. :D

Looking forward to a huge game against Pulteney this week. Glad to be playing at home and not at Morgan Oval, my most hated of all grounds. Porltand v North Haven will be a ripper of a game, wouldn't surprise me if Portland got up too. Havens are still a bit inconsistent (Beat us away, lose to Unley at home), and with Woodrow out, Portland might just catch them at a good time.

Besides the 9 goal to 1 first quarter, Ingle Farm were pretty competitive against us. But the fact is that they can't rely on Glen Mount to do it forever on the field, as well as trying to coach now as well. I hope they put up a fight this week too, but I can't see it happening. Howe will kick 10.

They have gone backwards since then and yes the big problem down there is they think Mounty will be the saviour of the place but unless they get some more help for the commitee and the players pull there fingers out of there arse and respect the place they will go no place. If you see there clubrooms and changerooms they are second to none but that doesnt bring wins on the board. Hope you guys have a win as wont the Mighty Bulls in the finals and they will do some damage if big Howe and Colsey stand up along with zip zap price

Howe was very good against us, Colesy hasn't played for a few weeks through injury, Pricey played mostly out of a forward pocket and went ok. They looked good, Lovell was dominant at CHF and had Paradiso back through the midfield after his knee. Hope the Farmers have some key defenders.

Zip Zap price a very good player played when the bulls were in Div 1 and 2 and won b&f in good teams, then gave it away for awhile.
