Full credit to the Central United 'B' grade - it's not easy coming out each week and being up against it, copping some decent floggings, but the way they held themselves all day was a credit to themselves and the club. Battled hard all day, hard but fair and honestly deserved more reward for their effort.

I found a whole new level of respect for the lads out Units today - they should be proud of the way they conduct themselves.

thanks to the BLFC for being great hosts yesterday..it was a strange day and both games had very little atmosphere as i think the shock of the previous day was still being digested by both clubs..the games were played in good spirit and well umpired in the A grade by some higher division "men in white"..

in both grades a minutes silence was observed at the start of the game and at the end the players, coaches and umpires formed a circle as seen in the hawthorn versus collingwood game friday night which became a very moving and popular way to show respect to phil walsh..

a big game against SFC this weekend and really looking forward to the challenge of taking on a team who haven't lost for nearly 2 years!

Good stuff guys

I find it interesting recently taking up rugby union the level of respect they have for fair play.

Haven't seen a punch up in the 50 games I have watched, also after each game the home team will forward a guard of honour for the away team to walk through and then the away team form a guard for the home team to walk through, while both teams still do the old 3 cheers to the ref, on getting back to the changerooms there is always a few jugs of beer and soft drink (non drinkers and drivers)

It's really miles ahead of what u see at an amatuer footy game

Miles ahead? How many ammo footy games have you played lately? At the end of every game, teams and umps shake hands and usually have a bit of good-natured banter, and many clubs put on free drinks for an away side.

Probably been to over 100 as a spectator in the last few seasons since I don't go to sanfl anymore and played my fair share, as well as read these forums about how many thugs are getting around in certain sides

What about during the game, like I said the rugby guys smash the living suitcases out of each other yet you won't see one punch, headbutt, brawl, king hit, compare that to an ammo footy game.

Umpires simply do not get abused and its to the point only the captain is allowed to or will ever speak to the ref, they are even still refereed to as sir

Seriously massive round coming up this week, all games have a big bearing on ladder positions, as well as the much anticipated 1 v 2, with Lockleys in serious form of late and Smithfield continually churning out massive wins.. IF v Fitzroy will go a long way to deciding 5th.. TOS need to win to maintain 3rd and ML need to get out of 9th.. CU win could give them breathing space from 9th and BL could be thrown right into the battle for 9th with a loss..

Yep and with Ingle Farm having the bye next weekend, Lockleys & West Croydon have the bottom two sides as well, it's going to be an extremely tight run home.

Will come down to Round 17 - West Croydon v Ingle Farm for either side to secure 5th spot I think.

All sides have shown that they can compete with the top 3 as well, with varying games being tight, with the odd exception.. As usual with the B grade it will come down to who is available on any day, I can say from personal experience that I haven't had less than 5 changes for a game this year, so any side can cause an upset on there day

I still dislike the bye
Could be right there Zartan unless we manage to pick up a win or 2 against a higher side.

Yep same in our side HT different blokes in and out every week. I think we are slowly getting more settled though.
Looking forward to the trip and hit out in a fortnight to the campus.
