Crowds trending up at Glenelg because it just hosted the two largest drawing teams in the competition.

 Straw clutching. Take a look at yourself pal. If you have bothered to pay any attention, those who have an interest in SANFL only games are saying they will go and watch games between traditional SANFL teams. They don't go to a game that involves the reserves. That happened this weekend, and the Adelaide AFL team did not play. Personally, 3 guys met me at the Norwood game this week who haven't been all year. You will highlight any reason besides the reserves issue. Its too wet, its too dry, Glenelg are crap, Glenelg are good. Straw clutching...... I will say one thing, if you go to as many SANFL games as you say you do, I will acknowledge your dedication to the AFL reserves cause, as misguided that it is.

Bloke gets murdered and games get cancelled

YESSSSS, time to make it out to Norwood.

Yep, that is 100% the reason and it has nothing to do with the fact that there was no AFL or Country footy in Adelaide this weekend.

You are seriously cooked, and stuff like that ruins the legitimate arguments of others.

I don't think it is as far out as you suggest. For one, there was a sense of community following the passing of Phil Walsh, going to a local footy game was a way to be part of that. In times of need, people return to what is familiar and 'safe'. Many people who would have been planning to go to the game on Sunday would have thought to themselves, let's go see an SANFL game instead.

Stupid post. Trying to grasp at the moral higher ground by using this incident reflects your inability to understand anything but the bleeding obvious.

That you haven't been to a game is the point. You work it out.

Great to see the fans still flocking to the SANFL games this week just gone. Norwood V Port at the Parade 2,100 is that some sort of record low? The game down at Polar Park was just as impressive with a very healthy turn out of just under 1,200 Hats off to all those directors who made these tough decisions.

Generally it does appear that numbers are down from the figures provided. The question has to ne asked, even if the AFL teams are removed, has the damage that has been done tol great to recover from?

I believe so, but it gives the comp a chance to find a real niche in the community, which it can't while compromised.

Where does this crowd sit in all time record low crowds between Norwood Port @spell_check?

Some of us here did state that we will head down the WAFL path that within 5 years crowds of 1,000 spectators or less per game will be the norm.

Welcome to the new world order of AFL.

NO AFL IN THE SANFL !!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

I check the scores out of Glenelg matches
I still have an interest in how the club does caused by knowing some involved.

however, my winter is no-longer revolved around when the Tigers are playing and I have moved on to other hobbies/interests. no longer is my week moods determined by the last round results and the upcoming fixtures.

if the AFL clubs were removed from the comp, than I would be more inclined to go and watch on a Friday night or even a sunday arvo.

I have had free tickets come my way, which I have passed on to those who will use them. But they themselves only go a couple of times a year as it is.

The comp needs to go to 8 teams.

everyone plays eachother 3 times.

I want a return to the pre-season comp

bring back double headers

Apart from three estimates, it's the lowest:
