There will be a mass media campaign. The Special Investigations editor at The Advertiser is a Mitchell Park stalwart.

A current affair.
60 minutes.

Maybe a expose with Barbara Walters.

So I've done some calcs:

If MP Reserves win by about 15 points on Saturday - a bit of a stretch, St Pauls smashed us at their ground last time, we will have to play a blinder just to win.

St Pauls lose to Houghton by 120 points in the final round - not out of the realms of possibility.
We beat Flinders Uni by 130 points in the final round - not out of the realms of possibility.

We will fall short by about 0.5%. :(

Add 5 goals 5 points to our For score - what we were on when the scores got incorrectly wiped against Angle Vale - then we make up that difference and sneak in by about 0.5%.

I was trying to make it realistic :P

How it all plays out will be interesting but overall the missing Angle Vale goals will be worth about 0.5%

It'll all be moot when St Pauls roll us on satdee.

The Crabs went alright on the weekend and I wouldn't rule them out in the Ressies. In the seniors we were a huge fan of old mate Freo with his texta tattoo and just for men grey beard, not to mention the Lithuanian Sprinter showing some elusive skill on the wing.

Ahhh the lower divisions. Full of characters. Why would you want to be anywhere else? Everyone is the same in the higher ups. No variety.

The dude in the pink helmet.

For some unknown reason (I think it was started by our Reserves coach) the rumour went around that he was a legitimate Lithuanian Sprinter and it stuck. It proved to be quite funny as the day wore on.

And before people jump on the bandwagon, it was a term of endearment, he racked up the possies and kicked a goal, God Bless him...............but he did wear a pink helmet, a sight I have never witnessed in my lifetime of footy.

All that said I have massive respect for the crabbies, must be difficult to front up each week without a win, but in patches Saturday they played as good as any team we have played this year. Just couldn't sustain it for long periods. Well done to Bharat, the boys are hearing the message.

I've heard an itty bitty whisper that a certain D7 club may have made inquiries recently about APFL affiliation?
