Hopefully the leaking roof is fixed by then......believe they had the most damage out of any building in the storms to hit Norwood the other week.

We had our Christmas dinner there in 2013. Pretty good from what I remember. Ran up a fair tab. And when we saw the boss head toward the counter to finish up the tab, we rushed to the other bar and loaded up, then gave him a salute.

Since I work from home by myself, I may just actually have my Christmas party in the bath

Just had lunch at prancing pony.

Didn't have much choice, basically burgers, but they were quite nice. Maybe slightly too small for dinner but great for lunch.

$15 for the burger and $10 for a tasting board of 6 beers is great value

7/10 for the burger and 9/10 for the beers

Ian McLachlan Room, Adelaide Oval, SANFL Grand Final Chairmans lunch.

Entree - Prawns with a light lemon dressing, some green stuff and crunchy things

Main - Beef fillet with mushrooms in gravy, with a sweet potato rosti type thing, sort of a fat hash brown with sweet potato inside. Some asparagus and little green things again.

The prawns, perfectly cooked and very nice, problem was they were on the table when we arrived so they had sat for some time on the table prior to tucking into them. As such, they were room temperature and I think they would have been better if they were chilled or even warmed. 6/10

The beef fillet was perfectly cooked, probably just over medium and that's how I like my meat cooked, just the slightest hint of blood left, the rosti thing was nice, I love sweet potato. 8/10

Half time was mini gourmet pies and sausage rolls, a basket of deep fried fish, prawns and chips. A good half time nibble. 7.5/10

James Squire One Fifty Lashes in the bottle on the table, , Draught stubbies ( like anyone was drinking those  ) , and a range of Serafino Wines.

All in all, a wonderful day out. The meal was good, the seats excellent and the company simply top notch.

Total package 9/10
