With Plympton and Keswick having strong Day 1 results looks like the Top 4 will be set with a game to go unless Port Noarlunga can chase 200 against ladder leaders Cove

With Plympton having the biggest support base in the comp, it will be a massive weekend down the kennel this weekend

Hardest batsman to get out? - Struggled to get Rowe or Cheek out.
Craftiest bowler (well thought out bowling)? - Stanley, left armer from Plympton always gave me grief.
Hardest bowler to face from ball one? - As above
Best Keeper? - Krutli
Most explosive innings you've seen in ASCA? - Can't recall his name, Div 4 game vs WYC, stocky bloke, smacked 200 by just after tea. Crazy good.
Best 'textbook' innings you've seen in ASCA? - Anytime Pressy made runs. Elegant at this level.
Best game you've played in? - Getting on now, was it 02/03 we ( WYC ) beat Coro @ Coro in the Div 1 GF? 0/55 ( Pressy dropped Cheek off me at slip when Cheek was 3* and 0* not out after going out to the non-strikers end for the last ball of the Saturday.

Either way, my only Div 1 premiership and by far the greatest day of my WYC cricket life.

I remember *shudder* his name now, Doubleday. He made 100 odd in the semi last weekend for Keswick, saw his name in the paper on Tuesday and had vivid memories of the game.

The 200 he made against us that day was amazing, granted it was a small oval and granted it was Div 4, but you've still got to hit them. We made over 300, yours truly 120, thought that would be enough.....nup, he was out before tea for 220 something and they got the 325 with 18 overs spare in a 60 over match.

Winners :
Div 1 - Keswick 7/190 def Plympton 165
Div 2 - ICC Sharks 8/133 def Belair 9/122
Div 3 - Hamilton 213 def North Haven II 123
Div 4 - ICC Sharks II 5/109 def Warradale II 108
DIv 5 - WYC III 3/228 def Keswick III 9/219
Div 6 - Plympton III 4/236 def ICC Sharks III 147
Div 7 - Plympton IV 271 def Warradale IV 181

So two flags to ICC, two to Plympton, Hamilton and WYC win one each while Keswick win their third Section 1 premiership, the first since 95/96.

Sad day for WYCCC last week with Dave Thulborn, 4 time premiership player at the club passing away after a short illness.

Was an excellent captain, ripping fellow and a class batsman, even with no gloves or thigh pad. Tough as nails too. Played a major role in shaping a generation of the club that saw several players from under him captain teams and captain premierships. Many of these players then had an impact on the next generation of the club.

R.I.P Dave.

Playing at Immanuel i hear.

Don't understand why you'd want to play turf in a hard wicket competition.

I heard that Keswick were potentially looking at a move into the turf comp. Not sure how far off that is, but maybe it's a step in that direction. Is that 3 changes of ground in about 4 years? (Westminster, Blackwood high, now Immanuel)

Adelaide for their Juniors. We find out its signed and sealed from a parent of one of our juniors who attends the school.......

We put in a call to another school nearby and we also find out Keswick CC have also snapped up that facility as well
