Re: Round 7 already....
Betts had 7 kicks in his goal kicking "masterclass" pre game with BT. 7! That's a lot.

Hope pike ask for a explanation from the maggots..
Look at the inside 50's count, look at the clearance count, look at the contested ball count.
Then ask yourself if the free kick count cost you the game.

Re: Round 7 already....
Dogs v Crows:
Dogs first at it all night, don't think we deserved to win but would of taken it had it come off. Bad kicking at goal (2 by Dougie) really cost us early for momentum. Back to the multiple players chasing the ball carrier allowing the opposition out the back to run off and get the numbers advantage further down the ground.
Dougie and Thommo looked very slow, but none slower than B Crouch. First game back yes, but was left for dead by the Bulldogs.
Scott Thompson needs to learn that players duck and dive for frees, he is too aggressive in the tackle. Also while a couple of holding the balls were tough, he does tend to brace and ride the tackle when pinged.
My biggest question re the umps is how many frees in the centre bounce from non officiating umps...calling holding or blocking from 50m away. Would like to see them again to see if they are there. The last "block" against Jacobs was odd.

That awful yellow gave me a headache. Are they Crows or Canaries?

Only 26k tonight when both teams are doing well this year. Dogs got no chance of surviving in the future when supporters arent there.

Dogs will never get more than that against a interstate side, they just don't have the supporters

After the game sections of the crowd were giving it to the players and Gaz went over to diffuse the situation and apparently copped an absolute spray from some fans

Re: Round 7 already....
Good contest to watch, Crows just didn't have enough contributors, Crows midfield were hammered Thompson, Douglas and Sloane all down and Crouch on return only about a dozen touches. I think the Dogs had 11 blokes over 20 touches to the Crows 4 for mine there's the game.
Free's on paper look bad but I watched the game (tipped and backed Adelaide) and certainly don't think the umpires were the differance. Dogs deserved the win and got it. First to the footy most of the night.
A lot of skill errors but simply a result of a pressure cooker. Like I said enjoyable to watch.

Can see Gaz finishing his last year or two in Geelong when the contract is up.

Re: Round 7 already....
Reckon Gaz is cooked. He's at that magical age of 32 where most footballers suddenly are cooked by. Some keep at it, most crash and burn.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

When the ruckmen go up and all of a sudden there is a free kick. It takes at least one replay before you can work out whats it was for. Obviously there are some very obvious ones but seems like bit of a lottery at times. The blocking rule in the ruck seems like a 50/50. You could get done for jumping or not jumping at the football.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Gave the Dogs to much of a head start. If you said to me we'd be 4-3 at the start of the year i'd taken it. Must win against geelong this friday night
