That stupid F*****G add on telly (Austar racing channel) for the TAB with the F****T in the taxi on the way to the Races being interviewed by the woman on the horse about the streaming of the races on his phone. Just PATHETIC. Just sick to death of seeing it !

So 8 games in a row at Hawthorns home ground , seems fair.

Just the quirk of the draw
This year will be the 6th year in a row we play Freo in Perth and not in Melbourne.
Over the last 10 years the Swans have only played us in Melbourne twice

They wouldve requested it, wouldnt want any floggings at home.
You interstate supporters need to get over it. We would love to have 10 home games a year against interstate teams, seems fair yeah??

Yep another stupid point, how would you Victorian teams like to travel interstate 10 times a year, yeah seems fair ;)

Just like one team playing the same ground for the first 7 games of the season

I agree with you Brodlach... Winning interstate games is harder than in your home state.

By the same token those who have to travel interstate more often get more opportunities to get better at is as well. So to a degree it cuts both ways.

Interstate travel for games did NOT stop Brisbane, Sydney, West Coast, Adelaide or Port in winning premierships. They were at that time the best teams in the comp, or the best team on the day. If your good enough for long enough you get the prize.8

No its an accurate point champ. We only have 5 games at home v interstate teams, you have 10.
Hawks also travel interstate 9 times, so only one off what youre asking for, yet we still win multiple flags, whats your next excuse for being such a crap franchise

Didn't know Hawthorn was the only Victorian team Champ and your team only travels that many times as they have chosen to sell some of their home games yet they have still over 12 games in their home state.
All this because it was pointed out that Hawthorn have not travelled to Brisbane in 8 years. Precious much?
Don't have an excuse for the Crows not winning flags, just not good enough.

Only 8 games possible outside of Victoria, most Vic sides would go interstate a minimum of 5-6 times. Not much you can do when 10 clubs are based in Victoria. The interstate clubs have a far bigger home ground advantage but they lose out on the travel side of things. Clubs knew this when they joined the comp and it isn't going to change any time soon

^ Kevin Sheedy recognised interstate travel and winning away was crucial from day 1....He embraced the challenge.

I fully understand that's the case I was answering his opinion

Surely no one thinks 8 trips for Brisbane to Melbourne to play the Hawks and none the other way is fair?

Same as if West Coast played Adelaide at Adelaide Oval 8 years in succession and none in Perth wouldn't I think that is fairl

No it's not fair. Perhaps though you are looking at this circumstance in isolation. Perhaps we now play Brisbane in Brisbane every year for the next 7.

I don't think the recent success of our club has been a direct result of the fixturing of Hawthorn v Brisbane games. Do you?

Of course that's the reason the Hawks have won the premierships
