I think most of us agree the current model of the SFL needs to be changed or we run the risk of losing clubs gradually.
The league is a ship without a captain at present, we need leadership before it's to late. Craig Warman has been a great servant of the league for many years and has a done a very serviceable job of what is a tough gig. I don't think there would be to many league Presidents umpiring juniors on a Saturday morning! Great stuff.
But he's not the man to steer the ship through the rough waters we currently find ourselves in, I really hope he can see that!
Changing the subject, Reynella's U/16s did not lose a game last season and are currently undefeated this year. Has a team in any grade gone through 2 seasons undefeated in consecutive years in the SFL?

Mister Footy wrote:Sweendog you going to name those 4 sides then? Marion, MVP and Brighton already named but whose your 4th side? Anyone want to take a guess?
I reckon Marion will go, MVP wont go till they are forced out and that wont ever happen, Brighton is a toss up but why wouldnt you want to go to a comp that gives you a decent game each week
We can all sit on here and take pot shots at the SFL but I reckon it's time clubs took a stand and forced a vote to go back to full day of footy on a Saturday which was the best thing about the SFL. The SFL wont ever do anything about it without being forced because they are run mostly by Lonsdale people.
Clubs with 5 sides on Saturday
Reynella
Brighton
Flaggies
Happy Valley
Christies
Cove
Noarlunga
Clubs without 5 sides on Saturday
Porties - no 18s
MVP - no juniors
Aldinga - no 16s
Lonsdale - no juniors
Hackham - no 14s or 18s
Marion - no juniors
Anyone from Porties or Aldinga want to fill us in on whether you will be putting 5 Saturday teams on the park next year?
Keep hearing Hackam to fold next year anyone got an update on this?

Had numerous chances to fix the league but the geriatric board are to arrogant to accept were they've gone wrong !!
Up to 4 teams to walk to Saafl next year!
I reckon that has been said every year since I joined this forum. At least the Blackwood to join SFL rumour hasn't been thrown around for a while.
I know for a fact that Brighton is seriously looking at amateurs next year.

Morphett Vale B Grade went back to back undefeated Premiers in 03-04 and dropped their first game in 05 mid season to Brighton. Brighton then went on to lose to them in the Prelim after being undefeated prior to that.

That B grade team was seriously good. Skillful and hard. Was on the receiving end of some decent beltings from that group.
