To be fair, at the moment, don't think 11 players will have the dominant affect you think - they'll be good, but don't think they'll be the calibre of Smithfield or Salis West.. it's still half a team made up of B/C graders.

They'll be good in Div 7 - prob flag favorites - but unless they recruit another 10 genuine A graders they wouldn't make much impact on Div 6..

I guess the question is, would a Div5 Premiership side that folds the following year and comes back into Div7 with half of the Div 5 side beat a Div6 side? or more to the point would they beat a D1Reserves side?

Would have thought the success of Henley, SHOC, TTG, Uni and PAOC over the years in D7 had established the relative bona fides of D6/7 to 1R?

i did put it out there a couple of years ago and tried to organise this very game, getting the D6 team was easy - it was just the D1R team that was hard. Couldn't even get a composite side.

if they stopped now and rounded out their side with oldies and reasonable B Graders and they'd still be the team to beat IMO. If they keep adding recruits it'll be Smithfield '14, Salisbury West '16 levels of dominance.
