Personally i would like to see

Warner
Burns
Khawaja
Smith
Handscomb
Patterson
Neville
Starc
Hazelwood
Bird
Lyon

With blokes such as Renton, Bancroft, Whiteman, Behrendorf, Head, Lehmann, Sayers, Bird your next in line crop.

Where is all this love for Burns coming from, only 1 score over 30 in something like 15 knocks!
Time to blood Renshaw

3-125.

Weatherald in the runs again.
Smith not up to it
Head got his usual start then did nothing. An average of only 33 for someone of his talents means he should be nowhere near international contention any time soon.
Ferguson will remain a one test wonder, younger players going past him now.

321 runs to get

Yeah I agree, I think Renshaw has showed enough to given a chance at the top of the order.

For the 3rd test I would go-
Warner
Renshaw
Khawaja
Smith
Furguson- I would give him another chance.
Hanscomb
Nevill
Mennie- Give him another chance aswell.
Starc
Hazlewood
Lyon- Although O'Keefe is a very good chance to replace him.

Smith has been struggling tactically and White is the best captain in Australia. He has also been in excellent form with the bat for quite some time.

Reckon it is going to be another shootout for the openers spot in the end XI game this week between Winter and Raphael.

Raphael in the Smith mould of being ok but not good enough, has had more of a go than Smith for an equally poor record. 20 games, two full seasons worth, and average only 25.

Surely we have someone at local level who could actually average in the 30s?

Would love to see the selectors take a gamble on a young bloke like Renshaw (which im only basing on his stats as i haven't see him)

Its very un-australian selector like to play a young kid thats not 100% established but i reckon we are in enough strife to give it a go and look at the long term future.

Would be very exciting at very least.

It's these two or John Dalton....

From what I can gather the selectors weren't sure either, they had both Smith and Raphael guessing that they were in the team going into the first 2nd XI match of the season. Kelvin Smith makes 200 and burns his batting partner Raphael for 40 odd where they only bat once.

So we give Dalton or Winter a go and see if they are up to it. If with either of them aren't, then we go looking for someone interstate.

Yes I do, not his fault these hacks can't bat. He is leading from the front with the bat. And if by some chance he had the captaincy taken off him Cam White would be the last person deserving of it. White is nowhere good enough to play for Australia let alone Captain the country
