Bet he's spewin' that he hadn't made runs this year as he'd be #451 not Cartwright.

Yep! Stonis is a better cricketer than Cartwright, Cartwright was just in better form at the time of his selection.

Now that he's showed us he can perform at the top level I hope Stonis can continue to be a handy contributor to the ODI side therefore it'll keep Mitch Marsh out and Marsh actually has to perform in state cricket if he is to get back into the team.

Whole thing about the last wicket partnership[ in this game is that Hazelwood is not a bad batsman, has scored plenty of runs in test cricket coming in at the death and works the ball around well, however looking forward to watching the Stoinis inninings package

You're not suggesting he sleeps with his bats?

A flash in the pan, as much as I'd love to see the spot filled, I don't think he'll have sustained success.

Exactly and I'm glad White has spoken out about it and shown his frustration, there must be others that feel the same. In that article there's a link to another written by Brett Geeves which my brother was telling me about which is worth a read.

Like him or not White has been outstanding this summer and should of been the next cab off the rank and made a return to the ODI side against NZ. Even Bailey should of returned ahead of Heazlett. Picking a guy straight out of the NPS wothout even playing a game for his state yet is an absolute farce.

This is just another example of the different rules for different people approach the selectors seem to have.

Certainly not a channel 9 "yes man", or scared to speak his mind regardless who's feathers get ruffled at the pointy end of CA.
His comments re Chappell (and Hohns/M Waugh) are spot on.

Martin Guptill will miss Thursday's second ODI as a precaution to not make a hamstring injury worse.
