I'd be more for cricket winning out if Brisbane could draw a test crowd bigger than 4 people & a dog.

Only guide dogs are allowed in sporting venues such as the Gabba.

That doesn't even make sense! It's proven that this comp is popular, it's only the dinosaurs who don't like it...

It's bankrolled by the AFL who see it as an investment, no need for it to turn a profit.

I don't think the point is to make money this season, it's about interest and increasing participation

So getting more people involved into our sport a bad thing?? And how does the comp not making money affect you?

It's growing on the population, it's hard to gauge the popularity when it's free entry, people are deprived of their footy fix and their club is playing.

It's a novelty event that will get stronger each year, I wouldn't go handing out any more licences though for at least 5 years if they expect to start charging entry fee's in the interim.

I just think there are far better areas where the AFL should be directing funds and I still maintain that giving free entry to AFLW games is wrong, should be $5 as a minimum.

It's popular coz it's free and people want their footy fix a bit earlier than usual.
It's great there are options now for the women but let's not get too excited and claim it a success just yet.
