Are the new boys Mott and Hunter a chance? Seems to me South needs some juniors to start putting some pressure on, as I'm not sure that side will get them the ultimate prize. But their on ball brigade is still very strong.

Mott no ! injured I think, Hunter I have only seen for a half and could not find him a spot.

Any idea when we can expect Gulden back?

Perhaps a couple, hamstring.

Rolfe having further surgery (foot), Veide would play today if allowed, fit enough but knee injuries are what they are, Redigolo same.

Port will be strong as they have a short injury list. Whilst the crows have a couple more on there its stll a short list. So expect them both to be fairly strong. They will both likely have solid wins this week.

Do you think you have the eagles covered?

I see it as a real 50/50 game. Dogs have been solid in the trials but go into this match without its best two small forwards and two of its best Tall defenders.

Hearing Wundke is fit and well so see the match up with him as a concern, however with most of our midfield available and well prepared, if we get our fair share of the of ball am still confident we have the firepower up forward to capitalise.

Respect the Eags though - and still see them as being highly competitive throughout the year.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

I believe Mott will be unavailable for a few weeks, apparently serving a suspension from the SFL finals last year..

Mott has 1 week to serve, copped 2 weeks in the Semi's last year, missed the Shoe's losing Prelim.

Crows and Central might win comfortably too but West and South might be a good battle.

Wouldn't the reigning premiers go ok against the Blackbirds at home?

3000 at Richmond when there are two other night games on the same time, I doubt it.
