That's good news. 3 x A graders from Goodwood Saints and Battafiuco is quality. Obviously the coach has the Pied Piper effect!

1 of the players is the new coaches nephew

Bit rich calling them 3 x A graders, 1 played Reserves all year AFC.... Good pick ups none the less.

Maybe he meant A Graders at HV? ;)

Be good to have HV back competitive again... Just not 'that' competitive would be nice

Not sure 4 players will completely change things, but certainly a step in the right direction toward being competitive again.
HV played some pretty good footy in patches this year, but would then follow with 15 minutes of rubbish. If the coach can get a better balance with the inclusions, then we should certainly be on the improve.

The Great Southern league has voted to implement the last possession out of bounds rule in the SFL.

This is to make sure that players recruited to the SANFL do not get confused

Neither actually. Board, coaches & clubs Voted against it, but the Umpires Panel voted it in

SGFL and SFL share an umpiring panel, so Im guessing GSFL wanted it so got it.

Yep, appears GSFL are claiming control of the zone because they now have more "A-Grade" clubs.

Shit rule. Will be hard for the kids running the boundary in the lower grades copping mouthfuls if they dont get the decision right. Or is it just the A grade?

MatteeG
Shit rule

Spot on it is a shit rule.. releases pressure in the forward 50 time and time again. Team runs forward kick long bouncers at right angles from the goal square out of bounds, free kick rather than throw in pressure on defence, it is kicked 50 meters up the ground.

Cannot see any sense or benefit in the rule at all, especially at local level

Why couldn't the GSFL have it and SFL not? or too hard for umpires who do both comps? Surely it wouldn't be too hard to adapt?
