If I played for Carlton I'd drink on the day of the game.

Well he had to try something, calling an umpire a "f****** cheat" didn't get him a reprieve from playing.

Anything to have a spell for a couple weeks... internal suspension would be better than a report... I'm surprised more Carlton players aren't trying it...

Probably be a late out with gastro next week... no-ones gonna argue with violent diarrhoea!

If you can't sacrifice a couple beers for $500000 a year then you're in the wrong job. They know when they can drink and not. Senior player should know better and i'd drop him (preferably for the whole season because he is contributing nothing anyway)

Had a good look at the Carlton game on the weekend as I was financially invested and gee they are hard to watch, Ive been a Bolton fan but I think he has now lost the plot, the game plan stinks and the players are not playing natural footy, you can see their minds ticking over as they get possession.

They need to move him on ASAP.

Rubbish. The only mistake he made was doing it in public rather than away from prying eyes. Half these blokes would be having a beer or wine regularly at home.

That is pretty harsh, how would he feel knowing he cost his team mates a finals berth over two beers?

But Mitch McGovern thought they were going in the right direction, didn't he?

Silvagni playing the lead up forward role, Charlie Curnow looking completely lost, McGovern according to Wayne Carey would "rather be selling pies" than being out there. They really are lost as a club and have been for 10 years.

Problems galore at Carlton.

It’s already entered the lake unfortunately.

Wheels need to be in motion to replace Bolton at years end.
I still think Bolton would make a good coach at the right club.
Carlton isn’t it though.

Bring back Ratten.
Favourite son.
He’s got that hard edge that’s required and I think the players will respect him.

Need to ditch Bolton now, then at least you get to see in the 2nd half of the year if it was the coach holding the players back or vice versa and can make appropriate list management decisions based on this.

Can't be boythered trying to quote so here goes just summarising everything in one.

Warnock and Thomas, two modern day grates (pun intended) going toe to toe. Shame Warnock didn't do something positive for the club and injure him, corky or otherwise. Seriously, Thomas, I'd just started defending him FFS. If there is a stoush or drinks being spilt, it generally isn't '2 beers'.

The players look lost/out of position - I get that, they've only played a handful of games together and are young. I'm willing to forgive, IF they learn from it. Against Collingwood and Hawthorn people were lauding our forward structure and 'play', so it's not 'game plan' it's players getting lost when the ball isn't in the area. Concentration perhaps I dunno I'm not in the inner sanctum.

Bolton - I still don't know if the guy can coach or not. He should be given the opportunity while the guys are young. I'd back him till the end of next year.

Ratten - would love him back. Senior assistant??

Scott as coach? - no. Unless he is a senior assistant. I don't quite get what the fuss is over. He took North to a Prelim (maybe 2?) but he's now topped up and gone nowhere. No.
