Will be interesting to see how the Port crowd treat Ablett on Saturday night. Port supporters have no reason to boo him, so if they simply mimic Hawthorn and Essendon supporters, it would be disappointing. Dangerfield, however, go hard on him.

They've done it before. My guess before was that it was because he previously played with Crows, common sense would say if they hate the Crows then they'd cheer the fact he's with another club but they aren't very bright.

It doesn’t work that way in most sports.
Essendon fans will boo any ex Carlton player as rule no matter who they play for. Even ones that have played for us [emoji3]
It’s actually a very English tradition to boo players of your most hated rivals even when they move clubs.

Is it just me or are the rules on booing as confusing as the holding the ball rule these days

Weird. Makes no sense to me but booing generally doesn't make sense to me either.

Haven’t you ever been to a Spurs game?
If you want to see booing and jeering, wait until a former Arsenal player is playing against them. Once a player has played for Arsenal just once they are on the hate list forever [emoji3]

The bye weeks allow for Thursday night games = more revenue = more chance of Gil's bonus benchmarks being hit

"We have made no changes in security or direction to security"

Also Gil: "we are sorry if people have felt intimidated st the football but the security measures"

Then Marvel Stadium: "We don't comment on operational matters however there has been no increase in security"

[emoji848]

Seems about right play on.......

Yep. Those new security vests and people wearing them just appeared. Amazing.

The AFL do nothing to endear themselves to the general populous do they?

Hope they boo the hell out of Ablett. He plays better when the fans are trying to give him grief. It's also great late in the game when the boos are quiet because everyone's pissed off to beat the traffic. Boo Ablett Booooo...goal. Thank you.
