I saw a post on a service station where they were portraying a local service station as Villians because they were charging $44 for an 8 pack of Mt Franklin 1.5 litre waters. Walk in to any service station in Australia and if you get a single bottle of Mt Franklin 1.5 litre water for under $5.50 each off promotion then you’re doing well. Independent Servos run off the smell of an oily rag and are hard work... It’s just a dead set witch hunt from some ordinary people.
Yep .. Then the likes of Pink and the Urban/Kidman family donate $1mil between them and half the clowns on FB are like "Big deal, thats like me donating $10, bloody tightarses" - Like WTF is wrong with some people??

Economy is stuffed, going to be a very tough year(s) ahead, things are going to get much worse before we see any improvement.

not for construction- if you haven't noticed, there's a fair bit of Australia needs rebuilding

Would have thought normally a bit quiet at this point in the year.Booney wrote:Dutchy wrote:Booney wrote:Back at work and it is absolutely dead.

Our forecasting ( in construction ) actually looks pretty solid, there's been enough to tender in the last half of '19 to suggest there's some work coming and we're in the middle of several large projects as we speak. I can only assume sites have been slow to return ( or aren't back until next week ) or are way behind because of the heat in the last week before Xmas ( all sites were shut by 11am that week, at the latest ).
Oddly quiet return.

Plenty of companies are closed through this period. Probably another week before it ramps up.
The year ahead doesn't look too bad for construction companies.

don't agree, but they should be publicly shamed and ridiculed. Instead, they'll get looked after because of a bad childhood.
