The BL&GFA is meeting with Freeling tonight.
I think the other 8 clubs are very keen for Freeling to get at least an A Grade up for this year. 9 weeks with 2 byes isnt really palatable.
Ill say it again pulling your team out because it wasnt going to be competitive isnt good enough. (The presidents statement, not mine)
I think Freeling may have now realized that would lose some young players to other clubs and it might be so easy to get them back.
IMO they will be in even bigger trouble next year if they dont play this year

They have already allowed some players to sign in other leagues for the rest of the year...my son is.one of them who wanted freeling to play but when decision was made he wants.to play.some.footy so they let him sign for an adelaide.footy league.div2.side for the year and return next.year.....

I see a couple players have been denied cleatrances to the SAAFL, is that because of an amateur league ruling? Cochrane and Whimpress

Freeling will now host both finals this year. All the clubs to supply volunteers and share the spoils.
Good call with their change room facilities.

All 3 games will be interesting affairs.
Nuriootpa v Gawler Central : Gawler Central - query will be GC defence- enough midfield power and forward scoring power. Nuri additions are very handy indeed. These 2 teams will be fighting for that top 3 spot with Tanunda and Angaston. Why it wasn't a top 4 is beyond me really. That 4th spot gives all clubs a hope- such an even competition it is. That's another topic for another time.
South Gawler v Kapunda : South Gawler just at home, Kapunda have lost some key personnel in their midfield and lack scoring power.
Willaston v Barossa District : Willaston for me - at home always hard to beat. Key out former South Gawler player Patrick White sidelined due to no clearance as yet- stay tuned.
Great to see footy back.
Early prediction ladder:
Tanunda
Angaston
Gawler Central
Nuriootpa
Willaston
Barossa District
South Gawler
Kapunda
Schulter Medal - Joint winners
Molyneaux ( Gawler Central)
Heffernan ( Nuriootpa)

The way its turned out Top 4 wouldve had no interest, with Top 3 one of Tanunda, Nuri, Angaston or Central miss out. These 4 will be 10 goal better than anyone else.
I think its Centrals to lose with all their additions. Nuri next best. Reckon these 2 jump ahead of Tanunda and Angaston who both are not much better than last year. Angaston adding Lewis, losing Carnelly, Tanunda adding Stewart losing Kurtze, dont think Stewart is available every game either.
Will get an early indication today and next week with Angaston hosting Nuri. Nuri with the advantage with a game under their belts today.

Gawler Centrals far more ground to make up than the big 3 clubs of the Barossa.

Finals will be another Barossa carnival

3rd spot may have just opened up with Barossa belting Tanunda
Looks like Central and Angaston will lock in the 1st 2 spots.
Angaston were rusty today in the first half being 2 goal down at half time. It was then the Summerton show as he put on a clinic in the 2nd half to win by 5 goals
