We should be 5 goals up. Controlled the game bar 5 mins & missed 4 gettable shots.

Ziebell's miss, FFS!!!!!!

20 out, 30 degree angle, lets kick it around the corner........................sheeesh, my new pet hate in the AFL, it cost the bombers a win a couple of weeks ago too.

Haha did you have him AGS in a SGM too?

Nope, had Ryan and Kennedy to get two each, Darling to get one, I left North alone, I usually chuck Zurhaar in.

No different to a wet day final.
I can't understand the whinging.

We're bloody fortunate to have one at all!
Yeah the standard of play, and the umpiring has been below normal standard but the alternative meant a very dull, slow winter.

Normally rate Mighty Tiger 79 and his comments on footy, BUT his persistent comments saying West Coast will win the flag make me wonder now :D

They have absolutely no chance of being Premiers this year, flat track bullies playing at home!

It will all change complexion after the Crows beat Richmond or Sydney beat Geelong.
Port would not want to face West Coast at Adelaide Oval, in fact in that case can Port choose the Gabba or are they locked in to Adelaide Oval?

Would WCE be a chance of hosting a Prelim in Perth? I see the rules around a home final in Perth the 1st weekend are WCE self isolate for 14 days at home and the visiting team 7 days in a hotel so in theory it is possible for the Prelim final too as long as their opponent plays the Friday night semi final

No.
AFL has confirmed that West Coast can only host a final in week 1.

I think part of the issue with slippery conditions in Queensland is that they have let the grass grow more than usual by putting the mower blades higher than normal, this is to ensure the grounds survive the high level of traffic at the moment, but that trade off is that the longer grass collects much more moisture.

Have a look at the centre square at the Gabba.

Presumably they will chop that off after this weekend

I'm not whinging, it's just a preference that the GF is during the day, I do find it different to a wet day final, the yellow ball skids on and is slippery even when there's no rain about, a wet red ball just gets a bit heavier but stays pretty true, I don't mind a dour struggle though, some of my best memories of SANFL Sunday games live on 7 were wet games where Malcolm Blight was in a world of his own skill-wise.

I'm also not a fan as I like to pop down the local to watch the game, chuck on a few first first goal scorers each quarter, with an evening start there's more likely to be pissed randoms in the pub by the time the game starts.

It is. It might rain during the day, it will get dewy at night. 100% different.

I might be the odd one out and I understand the reasons for night games but I just think games at night are generally a poorer spectacle

Again...a night gf isn't ideal but its a grand final.
I've seen some cracker state of origins at footy park, at night, and dewy.
We've had some brilliant prelims at night.

As a collingwood supporter I want it dry as a bone.
We're garbage with a wet footy.

Slippery conditions will suit Richmond's chaos game plan to a tee.

I'm really struggling to pick a winner tonight let alone add some margins and high/low.
What are other people's thoughts , Saints or GWS due to bounce back?
