Re: 2020 Retirements and delistings / trade talk
North Melbourne has reportedly committed itself to contracted Collingwood forward Jaidyn Stephenson, leaving the decision with him as to where he wants to play in 2021. North Melbourne list manager Dean Lukin has confirmed their offer.
Stephenson is contracted to Collingwood until the end of 2023, but the 21-year-old is one of several players the Pies are willing to trade out to free up space in their bursting salary cap.
The Age is reporting that Stephenson, a former rising star winner, had spoken with the Kangaroos about a potential move and SEN reporter Sam Edmund added to that on Wednesday morning.

Wonder what the odds are for which club Jaidyn will be at and wonder if he has thrown some on it

Is the Cameron to Geelong deal going to go ahead? I have not taken any interest in the trade period thus far. I'm still pissed off we are considering letting Menegola go to Freo
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Heading the same way as Saad. Apparently Essendon and Carlton had all but signed off last night and Carlton pulled out at the last minute

Re: 2020 Retirements and delistings / trade talk
Carlton have reportedly backed out of a deal for Essendon defender Adam Saad, just 36 hours before the AFL trade period slams shut.
In a move that leaves the 26-year-old in limbo, the Blues reportedly decided they’re no longer willing to negotiate with Essendon and list boss Adrian Dodoro.
The Herald Sun is reporting the decision was made after a marathon three-hour negotiation on Tuesday night where both sides were close to agreeing on a trade to send Saad and pick 48 to Carlton and Pick 8 to Essendon.
The stalemate now leaves a number of other trade deals around the AFL locked up.

And now it’s a done deal
Saad, pick 48 and 78 to Blues. Pick 8 and 87 to Bombers.

You're not, but he's a RFA next year and getting something from us ( probably a 2nd round pick this year or next ) is better than what you'd get as compensation next year.woodublieve12 wrote:i can't believe we are even discussing getting rid of Alir. Genuinely shocked by it
