Collingwood were found to have broken the salary cap. Due to the pies not actually winning anything and the AFL not wanting to deal with a salary cap scandal tell Collingwood to have a total cleanout immediately. AFL then sweep it under the rug and its a win/win for both the AFL/Collingwood.

No other possible explanation makes sense for Collingwoods trade week.

It doesnt get mentioned for obvious reasons but I guarantee the Beams issue has the club hamstrung and has caused some of this fallout. They have 2 more years of him on big $'s and they haven't been able to negotiate an exit for him. No doubt due to their tight cap they have tried to negotiate a low payout but Beams ain't budging.

Yep, heard the interview last night, they asked him if his partner had not got the netball gig in Qld would Treloar still be at Collingwood, the answer was a clear yes.

Back to the good old days

You'll end up with a couple of them as they hunt pick 2 from you.

Give them 2 for 10 and 13 and you'd have 10,11,13,30. Looks better than 2,11,30.

No chance the Roos give up Pick 2, never ever had a pick this low, a risk not worth taking.

You need to fill your boots at this draft or you're buying delisted free agents in the PSD, better getting 3 top 13 picks than delisted 28 year olds.

Pretty poor form by the club if they believe they aren't capable of overcoming that.

Bye bye to the Collingwood Pies,
Gave the chequebook to Ned guy, now the monies run dry,
Those good old pies are eating humble pie,
Singing, this will be the day the pies died,
Everyone singing - This will be the day the pies died...

Interesting to read we had the most 26-29yo's on our list in the league in 2020, we certainly aren't going to be picking up any in that range.

Is there any decent players still uncontracted for 2021? Considering Corws are committed to Hately we now have the #1 pick in the PSD.

Can also pick them up as delisted free agents outside of the draft. Think Adelaide will pick up Scharenberg this way

So the comment on Port in the AFL scorecard was:
We've sold next years 2nd and 3rd round picks leaving us shorted handed then.
Got Aliir in.
Overpaid for Fantasia.

Two losses and a win.

Ranks us 3rd apparently.

Geez Aliir must be a superstar!!!

Also how does Geelong go into the draft with only 2 picks, I thought there was a rule about having to use a minimum of 3? Or has that been paused due to covid-driven list reductions?

Changed this week due to list sizes decreasing that you only need 1 pick in the draft down from 3
