Maccas and HJ's drive thru's getting absolutely smashed, you would think we were under lockdown for six months not three days.

Not mandatory so why should anyone expect the elderly and vulnerable?

I think the close encounter with six days house arrest would have made people wake up.

Have to laugh at all the people on the News saying how great it is to be back to normal, how hard we have had it, blah, blah, blah.

Melbourne did it tough, six months of it. We were locked down for a day and a half for God’s sake, hardly doing it tough!

Just like they did with the boat people. Glad to see you’re onboard with it now
And how do you get the passengers there?
No system is foolproof, only takes on careless bus driver or the like and it gets out again. I’m at the airport constantly when they arrive and with how much the passengers touch things I’m surprised there hasn’t been a transmission breakout from airport staff or security. Only a matter of time.
I think more importantly we should be going hammer and tongs at finding how the initial cleaner caught it and look at ways to prevent it happening again. Should cleaners and other staff wear full bio suits or better PPE when in the hotels rather just masks and gloves for example?
Time to start believing what your eyes are telling you mate, It is no where near as contagious as they say, you will not catch it from touching surfaces. Their own admission is you need to be within 1.5m for 15minutes of an infected person. Hence why its pretty much spread amongst family members. How many people would be in contact like that in a working day, i know i wouldnt have one person that i am in close contact with in a working day

Id hate to be standing in one of those aero bridges disembarking a flight for an extended period of time around an infected person

So now its over, interesting to reflect back on this one from Mr Beefy before the pause was announced.

Rumor doing the rounds at the moment is the intent was always a three day lockdown to give tracers time to catch up and quarantine anyone they needed to, then they decided to roll with 6 to give them the ability to announce good news once they got through it early.
When the zero arrived on day 1, they started to cop backlash, so ran with the pizza bar guy as a scapegoat.

We'll never know the truth but it has worked out quite well for the government to have someone to blame.

Yep very convienient for them, look over here not over there. Was it Marshall that dropped the 20 detective thing to further enhance the pizza shop scapegoat?
The questioning on how it started has dried up.

I vaguely remember someone saying back in August we would go into lock down in November. Have also heard we will be back in lockdown before xmas, be interesting if that is on the money too

The only way there is going to be another outbreak is if it comes from a disease hotel, libs would be dead in the water if it happens again.

Remarkable to see the flak the Libs are getting here in comparison to others.
No deaths and 3 days of lockdowns but Marshall is terrible whilst Dan’s government is responsible for 122 days of lockdown and hundreds of deaths and he is treated like the King of Victoria

When they announced the end of lockdown they were very keen to give exercise back to us, and mentioned it multiple times.

Marshall is as good as gone. ALP will remind everyone about the stellar 2020 the libs had which included the loss of the Adelaide 500 and stuffing up the hotel quarantine.

If elections were held tomorrow Andrews would win in a landslide.
Marshall would lose over here despite them handling it better than most other states in the country.
It was only a few days ago most were saying how lucky we were in SA that we have pretty much been normal since June yet 3 days later they want him gone
