5AA's Rowie linked him to the Eagles last week. Presumably waiting on AFL draft. Whether they would have enough salary cap space after a recruiting spree would have to be doubtful.

I'm not sure that these recruits take up that much salary cap space - particularly those from the now defunct NEAFL where their futures may have been in doubt. However what we have reserved for Foote and Tsitas would have an impact.

If Knight is shopping around right now though, I'd say he would likely find more money elsewhere.

However if he waits a couple of weeks we may be a better chance, especially if we end up losing players in the draft like Rowe and McNeil that have already been re-signed, and Foote and/or Tsitas decide to return interstate.

The other one is Cam Sutcliffe - seems like Port still want to keep him in some capacity, but the motivation to be in that system to try to get on an AFL list isn't there anymore, so it will be interesting to see which way that one goes.

Keeping him would have been handy.

Foote officially gone.
What a contribution - B & F in 2019 and Jack Oatey Medal and premiership player in 2020.

Paul Hunter has penned a new deal that will see him remain a Panther in 2021.

Gibbs now Hunter, Horne can’t get drafted. Chuck in Cross and Broadbent.

South’s flag to lose, unquestionably.

The premiership t-shirts should be rippers given they’ve got 10 months to plan the design.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It will be a toss up between,

Back to Back (last century this century)

Threepeat (this century last century previous century)

No reason we can't have both.

I’d love for South to win it but after such a looooonnnngggg drought I don’t think it’s ever “South’s Premiership to lose”

With NGA and F/S nominations Taj Schofield and Lauchie Jones gone from the WWTFC. Jones could be playing against us in the SANFL although I think he will be playing a lot of senior AFL.

Not sure if it has already been mentioned but Eagles will be down 2 x quality Premiership players next year.

Sam Lowson (VIC) and Jordan Foote (NSW) are both returning home to their native states.

I'm hearing that both Menzels are off to The Eagles
and Knight to North.
No such thing as loyalty in sport anymore.

The Eagles seemed to have misread the updated salary cap for the 2021 season, it's not an extra $210k, it's $210k in total.
