Any goodwill the public had for SA Health has been absolutely demolished in the last couple of weeks.

In fairness, they may have been bound as to what information they could legally provide.

But yes it seems strange.

OK, so SA Health can't legally divulge those conversations, but if they are saying that they can't charge or take a case to court because they don't have the evidence of these conversations, then is that saying that they think there is some sort of criminal activity involved? We already knew they couldn't prosecute purely on someone lying so they must think there is something else going on.

Therefore if they need these conversations as critical evidence in any court case, then it seems like those involved aren't forthcoming with information.

Plenty going on, let's see what else just happens to come up in regards to court dates and drugs.

A hotel quarantine worker has tested positive to coronavirus in Sydney after working across two hotels, one of which housed returned travellers.

The woman worked at the Novotel and Ibis hotels in Darling Harbour, with staff now on high alert.

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said the woman carried out domestic duties at the hotels and would travel to work from Minto, in Sydney’s southwest, by train and light rail.

Five family members, whom the woman lives with, have so far tested negative to COVID-19 but will complete 14 days isolation.

It is too early to tell how she caught the virus and whether or not it was from a returned traveller.

The Novotel and Ibis are in the same complex so plenty would work between the two hotels daily. The worrying part was that they have been catching PT to work so they will need a testing blitz.

Very frustrating that it seems as though we don't really have COVID here in Australia, we just keep bringing it in though.

How much longer is the Australian public going to accept these rolling restrictions each time there is an outbreak all to facilitate these returned Aussies.

In September there were 26,000 wanting to come home. Since then we've brought home 30,000 and there are now 37,000 on the list wanting to come back.

Either more are going overseas, in which case they can stay there, or there are people who are choosing to come back for xmas only, and will then head overseas straight after.

Why should we be putting ourselves at risk for either of these category of returnee?

I get we can't really say no to an Australian who wants to come home, but I don't think we should be forced to let them in right now if they left Australia after say 30 June or if they aren't returning home to stay home. Australian's who want a holiday back in Australia for a short period should be told no. We'll see you in 4 months time when the vaccine has been rolled out.

We're learning all the way through this and containment and contact tracing is improving every day. We're going to simply have to live with it until the vaccine hits our shores.

Even after that bud .. Viruses don't get erradicated. So many measures put in place will remain permanently you'd think (whether they're adhered to or strictly policed is another matter).

My nephew has lived, and worked, in Europe for the past 3 years and has decided to return to Australia not because of covid.
So, the number of people wanting to return doesn't just change because of covid

So as someone who left before June 30, and wants to return permanently, I'd have no issues with that.

Once again, I'm more concerned with the temporary returners or those that exposed themselves after the risk was well known.

There'd be shitloads of people thwarting the system to get come to where it is seemingly non-existent.

If I told you our CFO let our Financial Accountant ( yep, that's what she calls herself ) go to Bosnia back in July to visit a sick relative (we're told) and, cop this, not only allowed it but facilitated a new laptop for her to take to do her work upon and now the company we work for has realised she can't actually get back and may stump up business class airfares for her and her partner would you believe me?

I would believe you.
Companies make silly decisions all the time.

But yes, these are the exact sort of travellers I'd be comfortable saying you pose an unacceptable risk returning now, you can wait 4 months.
