AFL clubs dont look at the number of Teams in a competition. They just look Australia wide for potential talent.

Is Petrenko planning to play in 2021?

Rumours early in the season were that he took this season off to help his wife out with the arrival of his first child but that he would be returning for one final season in 2021.

Not sure we could fit him in the side tbh :)

If we lose McNeil, Rowe, Jones, Mansell, J Hayes, Wehr, Williams, Schofield, Poulter in the draft i'm sure we could fit him in

Yep IF . Would be some record if they lose 8.

Jones will go and I think Wehr is certainly a prospect. Apart from Row did the others play league ?

Jones will go around pick 10.
Poulter will likely go at about pick 30 - if he isn't already taken in the first round, I'd expect the Crows to seriously consider him with their pick 22/23 which will slide back to about 27-28 with all the NGA and father-sons.
Schofield will likely be rookie listed by the Power if there isn't a bid before that.

Rowe, Wehr, McNeil, Mansell and Jack Hayes played every league game (if not injured) - it would be unlikely if all were selected, but they are all real possibilities, particularly on rookie lists. What may save us is the reduced AFL list sizes means there won't be as many drafted, and fewer clubs have room on their rookie lists to take a punt on a player that hasn't been picked up in previous drafts.

From a salary cap perspective last season, Jack Hayes would have been the highest paid. Rowe was the only other that had played league before this year, although Mansell may have been paid slightly higher than average for a 19-year-old as he was recruited from Tasmania.

For next season, Jack Hayes, Rowe, Wehr and McNeil have already re-signed, so losing any of them will free up already allocated salary cap space for more recruits.

Zane Williams broke his wrist in his league debut in round 10 and made his return in the Reserves GF so would have likely been in GF team if fit all year. He has been targeted by the Power as rookie selection. Wehr will go in the draft as will Mcneil and Rowe but most likely as rookies

I don't think J Hayes will be drafted. Very good SANFL player but a combo of his age and poor kicking skills will mean he will be overlooked. I think Mansell has all the skills but because he was playing back pocket all year it was very hard for him to dominate a game which is what you need to regularly if you are an over-ager. Throughout the year I was hoping Sheedy might have given him a go on the wing as I think he could have been very good for us in that position. McNeil is a tough one. Has good speed but is light of frame and probably doesn't have the polish with his disposal that you really need to make it at that level if you are midfielder. Next year with the eagles I'd like to see him go from a consistent 16-17 disposal player to 21-22 disposals. Wehr will definitely get drafted. Beautiful kick, has speed, courage (despite his small frame) and a good footy brain. Rowe might go as a rookie but I don't think he will stay on an AFL level longer than 1 season as he doesn't have the speed required by AFL as a small forward. Zane Williams would be a bolter. Like someone said earlier, he only played one game for us and got injured during the match but looked a likely prospect.

Jones and Poulter are locks and by all accounts the Power will take Schofield as a later draft selection or as a rookie.
