I think it's a little exaggerated, I think if it's that much of a problem we'd stop allowing foreigners in, I think there's many inconsistencies with the rules and guidelines but there's stuff all I can do about it.

It will all be over in a few months and then we can wait for China to release something new.

Even if you had something tangible to counter the reasonable, educated, informed debate 99% of us put forward it simply wouldn't be taken seriously because you use terms like "baa baa".

Sensible, rational, reasonable debate will get most people thinking about alternative view points ( not facts, you can't have alternative facts ) but coming in here like a 4 year old means you're seen as nothing but a joke.

A meme claiming to demonstrate that US death rates have not changed in 2020 by comparing recent data with previous years is misleading.

The image is titled “US deaths per year” and features figures said to be the number of annual deaths since 2015 (here). These are: 2015 (2,712,630), 2016 (2,744,248), 2017 (2,813,503), 2018 (2,839,205), 2019 (2,900,689). For 2020, the image says it has taken data up to Nov. 16 and lists 2,487,350 total deaths. It then makes a whole-year projection of 2,818,527.

This table of numbers has since been shared across social media claiming to be proof that the US death tally in 2020 is on par with other years – even with the emergence of COVID-19. But this is not an accurate assumption as it uses a misguided understanding of available data. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has, in fact, estimated hundreds of thousands of excess deaths in 2020 (here).

Firstly, the numbers listed from 2015 through 2018 are official, having been released by the CDC ( here , here , here , here ). However, the final numbers for 2019 have not yet been released, and it is unclear where the image creator took the 2,900,689 figure from. This is the same for the 2020 projection.

The facts are disputed.
If you do your own research, something you say you do, and look at the source of the 2019 provisional death stats in this example, you will also see 2020 death stats up to end of June. If you extrapolate that 6 months of data out to 12 months it will result in 3.25 Million deaths - an increase in deaths of more then 300k, coincidentally, about the same number attributed to covid

The other thing is I don't think extrapolating is appropriate as seasons would change death rates, with more people falling off the perch in winter than summer.

Extrapolating that particular set of data is very reasonable, in 2019 it shows the difference between the first 6 months and last 6 months of only 20k, with Dec and Jan (winter) being the highest.

Half year to full year is fine, as you've had 3 months of good and 3 months of bad.
However, accordingly to Booney's post it takes data upto November 16th, and extrapolates the last 6 weeks of the year.

In this instance you've had all 6 months of 'good' and only 4.5 months of 'bad'.

exaggerated to prove the point, but lets say Oct-Mar are 10s and April-Sept are 1s.
Over a year you get 66.

To half way through nov you'll have 51, and are on track to get that remaining 15 to hit 66.
But instead you go and straight line extrapolate, 51/10.5*12 = 58.3

All of a sudden you think its going to be 58.3 not 66, where as in reality its still a 66 year.

Yes which is why I used the same source as they did for 2019. They plucked numbers to suit their argument for 2020 so the Sheeples of apache and daisy's ilk will follow. Baa baa

Correct as winter sets in on parts of America thousands upon thousands will die especially the elderly but the question for me is it from natural pre existing illnesses plus the cold or as the stats will show they are included in Wu Hu Flu virus deaths ???????

Yes, unusually cold weather is definitely to blame for excess mortality in the hundreds of thousands.

Oh Factcheck, who fact checks the factcheckers? Who funds the factcheckers, not the same people that are heavily invested in Big Pharma?
Why does fact check only appear on anything from the right and nothing from the left? That couldnt be right could it?
Here's a tip, anything that is fact checked you can take it to the bank that its 100% true.
