India only have 3 bats that look likely to score runs Pujara Rahane and Kohli, now that is down to 2 with Kohli going home

Bowling, Yadav bowled okay first innings but he is generally trash, Shami Indias 2nd best bowler and now he is gone. Up to Bumrah and Ashwin to take a majority of the wickets now...for the hate he got Ishant Sharma improved 100% last tour and will be missed dearly this time round, when he pitches it up he is a quality bowler.

If Australia's batting is competent then this will be a clean sweep easily imo
Dave Warner will be missed!

Obviously the Indians lose Kohli and Shami and under normal circumstances would implode, make 7-8 changes to the side, threaten to go home and spit the dummy completely. I cant help but feel though this Indian era of players have a lot more heart about them and I somewhat expect them to bounce back.

Those pea hearts will fold very quickly I predict. Also we've got Smith and probably Warner this time.

I'm hearing that we're going unchanged.

My boss was telling me he was a bit disappointed with the cricket, he was expecting to see Shami come in at the end and clean up.

He was pretty happy with himself.

I'm not sure Pukoski will play test cricket until he learns to deal with the throat ball better.
The last one didn't look that bad yet he's concussed. That's a huge worry!

Toughness that we don't see anymore, I loved watching Sehwag bat, he took it to the bowlers.

We will have a bat

Perfect chance to play India out of the series!

All comes down to the openers imo, if they can put in a partnership and allow Smith and Labaschagne to face an older ball we could be on.

Disgraceful by Wade and evidence of why these glorified ‘t20 superstars’ won’t make it as test cricketers.

Such a shit and frustrating dismissal from Wade, already had his boundary for the over and of course Jadeja is the man to take the catch.

We all know Head desperately needs runs now. Can he not throw his wicket away today?
Travis Head lotto anyone?

When you're 3/40 heading towards lunch after batting first, things haven't quite gone your way. It's unforgivable though where the only batsman in control (Wade) gives his wicket away recklessly. There's no way somebody with that temperament should be opening in a test match. His job is to shield Smith et al for as long as possible.

Both these two (Lab and Head) are due for runs. Head scored a century at the MCG last year so hopefully he can bat sensibly and ton up.
