Just has to happen a couple of weeks prior to training recommencing, I was looking forward to running on flat ground and grass to see where I'm at, hopefully a quick recovery and I don't go backwards.

As an avid runner (might have mentioned it once or twice... ) and one that's torn a lot of muscles, the best advice I can give you is:

1. Ice and rest first few days. Very important to limit the damage.
2. See a physio ASAP. They will diagnose the exact area of damage as each area of the muscle needs specific rehab techniques
3. Follow the physio rehab plan to the letter. No deviations.
4. Do NOT try and run before the physio tells you you can. And even when you do, start back with a walk/run strategy.

Cheers mate, seen a physio on Tuesday and he thinks it's a low grade tear and if all goes well I should be running by the end of next week.

I rested for two days but then did my 7km lap slowly then was able to walk at a reasonably brisk pace the following day, I can still do my gym exercises and will go for a couple of decent rides on the weekend, this is my first right hammy injury, my left usually just goes twang and I'm stuffed for at least a month.

Just started running again for the season too. Went and did 11km last night.
Forgot to put bandaids on my nipples! Now, nipple rash is a serious injury.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

You have a history of hammies, so take it easy, if you think its right give it another week.

Always the left one, always the same spot, always going to take off in a different direction, this one is a new "old man" injury.

No ubers at Barmera.
Ahh well, just have the walk back to the golf club from the pub where 3 of us will enjoy a drunken Wedgie uber golf cart back through the course to our place of abode.
Scary thought considering I almost stacked it twice on the way here sober. :?

Hmm, good call, will ask. Do they drive golf carts home for people that have left them at the golf club though?

Just drive it back.

It's only illegal if you get caught.

Filthy.. busy day Friday - mrs had her nan's funeral and i had to take Jnr to his eye specialist appointment.. made the mistake of forgetting to lock the car when we got home late Friday, got up Saturday morning to find someone had gone through the car during the night - went through everything, even the plastic rubbish bag and kids kindy bag and the worst part was the arseholes didnt even have the courtesy to close the doors, so had a car with saturated seats/floors due to the heavy rain.

Usually i shut the gates, but didn't on this occasion.

:(

Nah nothing, obviously looking for cash - made a fair mess of the car though. I'm just dirty about the doors being left open.

You must be some kind of desperate to be wandering the streets middle of the night in pouring rain trying to find money to support your next fix.
