People are footy starved, most Adelaide and Port fans, if they were lucky, went to a handful of games in 2020, this won't stop people going but it will be cause for having a whinge and given it seems completely lacking in logic, fair enough.

The rusted on members will go, no doubt, but ones who are 50/50 and buy their ticket in the week leading up to the game will be less likely to go IMO, and these are the cream on the top for the clubs income.

You would hope that the SMA and the clubs will be at SA health as our national position gets even better (currently 5 active cases outside OS returnees) to get them to relax it a little

I think you'll find 11 game members who attend games are far more valuable to the clubs. Walk ups are more in the SMA pocket.

The same rule applies at Adelaide United matches this season. It's funny that you can attend 50-person orgies before and after matches sans mask, but heaven forbid you walk from the gates to your seat without one.

It's a bit early to say whether this has led to a reduction in crowds at Hindmarsh.

I can see the logic, if someone does carry the disease it limits to only people in their pod of 1200 that will most likely catch it, also protects staff there.
I'll be there in round 1 with bells on (and mask on).

I note they have announced adelaide oval will have a 40k capacity but we have to wear masks to and from the ground, and while moving around, but not in our seats.

What happens at port games where we only get 25k, can I walk around without the mask, same as last year? Or will the mask now basically be compulsory even if there are only say 8,000 fans there?

It's ridiculous. No mask on a packed train, mask into the ground, stand up in your seat yelling and screaming spraying shit everywhere and no mask but go for a piss and put your mask on. Makes zero sense mate.

So walking across the bridge shoulder to shoulder is fine but once you get into Adelaide Oval mask up.
And you people still think this is about some kind of virus
