Did.

They came out mid to late '77 I reckon. I'd not long since started following the 'Dogs at that stage and pretty sure it was the first bit of merchandise I had off the shelf.

Red and white 'V' guernsey era image, I recall it had a player breaking the pack in the foreground and looking up-field. I think a friend at the time said it was Sally Saywell, but I've never really known for sure. Pretty sure the image was from a game against West the previous year.

As usual the Big 3 clubs got all the advertising.

Like StrayDog, one of these was the first bit of merch I ever owned. I remember being taken to Johnnies at Marion specifically to get one. They had a display set up with a few mannequins sporting the t-shirts. One was wearing a Woodville shirt. It was the first time I realised that Woodville was a team - I knew Glenelg, but I had almost no idea about the other teams in the comp!

My memory of the image on the Glenelg shirt is very vague. I think it had 2 players running forwards, one might have sported a mo (Jim Lihou?), and there might have been a Port player in the background.

Think it was Granger belting Cornes in the background.

All the other teams' shirts might have had Granger belting someone in the background too. Including Port's.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I reckon Kym Hodgeman might have been on Glenelg's shirt.

Thanks. Will pass that on to a collector I know.

For Port people the 1960 members badges with a big 6 on them would be a bit special.

Not exactly classic Merch....... but does anyone remember the iron on transfers that were around in the mid to late 70's.

They were head and shoulder pics of 2 players from each club, by memory.

Port - Ebert & Woite
Glenelg - Cornes & Marker
West Torrens - Ian Wallace & ??
North - Trevor Hill & John Barruzzi
Norwood - John Wynne & ??
South - ?? & ??
West - ?? & ??
Woodville ?? & ??
Centrals - Bill Cochrane & Sonny Morey
Sturt - ?? & ??

Perhaps not every club was involved. Will see if I can dig anything up off the interweb...
1961, 1971, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015.... And don't you forget it!
