SACA have put the 1-day squad of 12 for Sunday's game v QLD on MyCricket so the "outs" for the GF are:

Uni: Agar, Weatherald, Kerber
Kensi: Worrall

(assuming Hunt, Grant and Winter fly back Friday night)

Forecast is a shower or 2 Saturday morning. Hopefully should be a good game.

Interesting side story to this. If, big if, the Redbacks last the whole four days of Shield match, which with day 1 washed out looks more possible, with extended hours for the last three days, the guys flying home will not get back Friday night now.

The earliest flight gets them home at 12 noon on Saturday. SACA currently deciding whether players have to be slashed for Day 1, or whether they will be allowed sub fielders for the first session till they arrive around 1pm at the ground. They are leaning towards the sub fielder option.

So if Kensy bat first, Hunt bats down the order and Winter bowls after Lunch. If Uni bat first, then Grant just bowls later.

Just adds a further element to the game. Could even be early showers forcing late start now which would work out for everyone. Think they have a Day 3 in Grand Final again now so will get the full overs in anyway.

4 games being played at the one complex for the grand finals. Similar to semi finals.

Parking at a premium. Facilities at a premium.

What fun.

Not sure who made that decision.

My cricket does not reflect that... by the way I agree was there on Sunday to see the end of the B grade semi. Parking is a nightmare

I did the same on Sunday too. Thought I'd have a look around for a bit with the wncl on too. Place is terrible. The women's game on #3 was amusing with spectators lying around. This was a first grade semi final for goodness sake.

This weekend is 1st grade men's (KRO). 2nd grade men's (oval #1). On Sunday women's 1sts (Oval #2). Women's 2nds (Oval #3)

Oh ok. I assumed you meant the 4 men’s finals were all there.

I’d much rather enjoy the ambience of Gliderol.... Pub straight across the road too.

Interesting that Adelaide have advertised junior trials, if it is a merger then shouldn't it be conducted under the merged banner.
As each day passes I can't see it getting up.

Given that SDCC have made it public that trials are on hold until the decision is made on the merger it does seem a bit strange.

Day 2 of Shield called off now, so doubt players get back till Saturday now

Heard conflicting reports whether 3rd day of Grade Final is used, anyone confirm?? I was under impression it was re introduced couple of years ago?

3rd day option still there. Has always been there.

Only used if playing time is lost due to rain, bad light etc. And if there is no first innings result on the first 2 days.

Done a phantom count, top four from two Clubs, so potential for them to steal votes off each other. Kerber wins for mine, and wont be there on the night!

Sam Kerber (Uni) 27 votes
Brad Davis (ST) 26
Will Bosisto (Uni) 25
Corey Kelly (ST) 23
Ben Bullimore (GL) 21
Bailey Capel (WT) 20
Conor McInerney (Wood) 19
Jake Brown (Kens) 18
Elliot Opie (Kens) 17
Ryan Gibson (WT) 16
Ben Turley (Wood) 15
Mark Cosgrove (ND) 14
Jake Lehmann (ET) 13

Pretty accurate predictions :D

Kerber and Davis tie with 27 votes with Bosisto third with 26.

One day player tie also with Kerber and Jake Brown.

20/20 winner Conor McInerney.

Keeper Isaac Conway

Talbot tie with Kerber/ Harvey Brennan.

Rolton medal tie between Sarah Lowe and Southern girl (name escapes me )

Eagles2014 wrote:Bradman Medal limited to 7 per Club and stand up cocktail evening. Blaming costs. They charge Clubs for tickets anyway, bizarre decision.

Team of Year Prediction:

Bailey Capel (WT)
Will Bosisto (UNI)
Brad Davis (ST)
Sam Kerber (UNI)
Mark Cosgrove (ND)
Jake Brown (KENS) - Capt
Isaac Conway (PA) - W/K
Corey Kelly (ST) - A/R
Ben Turley (WOOD)
Max Parker (ST)
Lewis Hatchett (SD)
Joe Medew- Ewwn (PA)

All rounder was hardest to pick, had Daniel Drew (WT) in till last round but think Corey Kelly gets the spot now.

Again, very close :D

Ryan Gibson (WT) made it instead of Max Parker.

So with the washout - are Redbacks on the way home and available for the GF now? If so, got to feel for the poor bloke(s) that got named last night and are now missing out/going down....

Redbacks staying in Qld to play a done dayer tomorrow it seems. Genuinely ridiculous if those blokes were able to come back and play IMO.
