What an intriguing "moving day" Saturday was at the Masters.

Matsuyama played out of his skin on the back 9 - to sign for a 7 under 65.

A rain delay of a bit over an hour just softened/slowed the greens up a fraction.

USA Masters rookie Will Zalatoris (Halitosis) aka Owen Wilson - shot a one under round of 71, and for a guy who does not even have a PGA tour card, certainly stood up.

Justin Rose could of shot 80, some of his iron play on the back 9 was poor, but he stayed in the event with the flat stick, posting a even par 72.

For the Aussies - Leishman is just hanging around, a 2 under round today sees him there or thereabouts.

Xander Schauffele - made some good puts, and will be paired in the final group with Matsuyama on Sunday.

Justin Thomas was in contention until a triple bogey 8 at 13 (with a dip into Ray's Creek) saw him take the gas big time.

My man Morikawa is out of contention 10 shots from the lead, as is "big boy" DeChambeau a further shot adrift.

Big day tomorrow, I am "working from home" so will be tuned in between sifting through 2 weeks of e-mails having been on leave.

Leader board after 3 rounds.

1 H. Matsuyama -7 F [F] -11

T2 W. Zalatoris -1 F [F] -7
T2 X. Schauffele -4 F [F] -7
T2 M. Leishman -2 F [F] -7
T2 J. Rose E F [F] -7

6 C. Conners -4 F [F] -6

7 J. Spieth E F [F] -5

8 B. Harman+2 F [F] -4

9 T. Finau +1 F [F] -3

Can't see the winner coming from any further back than this.

So who wins?

If Matsuyama can shoot even 69, he wins. If he shoots 72 or higher the others have a chance. Of those 4 shots back Schauffele is most likely.

I'd like to see Leish a little more aggressive tomorrow.

I loved the vision of Matsuyama's caddie, replacing the pin on the 18th, and bowing to the patrons.

Classy.

I think he was bowing down the 18th fairway, as a acknowledgement to the course, agree so classy and humble.
