How was Pickett pinch hitting in the ruck and being more than serviceable.

Hardwick loves it, used Grigg in the same manner.

The cream definitely rises to the top when it matters, the Saints have been nothing short of disappointing this season, I had them to be one of the two bolter teams for the year, they are looking likely to miss finals now already. Port in Adelaide next week too doesn't make it any easier.

The Swans knew what they were doing when they traded Hannebery. Out for a further 4 weeks.

Any one else surprised Collingwood has dropped Cox? I don't think he is their problem.

I thought he's been pretty good so a little shocked.
No idea how Thomas is still in the side. He needs a spell in the vfl.

On the radio it said Cox had lost 63% of contests this season, not good enough.

Pies forward line is terrible though, Cox Miochek DeGoey are serviceable

but Thomas/ Hoskin-Elliot/ CBrown TBrown are all garbage players

I don't rate Jamie Elliot but he really gives their forward line a different look
Dave Warner will be missed!

His season started slowly and has dwindled since, zero goals last week from a 9 foot permanent forward was probably the last straw and someone had to be the scapegoat, they got nothing out of any forward last week.

Did Greenwood suffer an injury during the game?

JE would be extremely frustrating for a Pies fan, he's capable of anything but just doesn't play enough games.

No back line is worried about Mihocek, Cox, Thomas or Hoskin-Elloitt ripping them to pieces, De Goey is the only one capable of really turning one on in that group and with so much attention paid to him by the opposition back half he's finding life harder and harder. Time for them to move Roughead or Howe forward and at least give them someone who will compete down there.

Probably a moot point anyway, while Collingwood continue to go around the fence to get forward they won't go anywhere.

Goes to show, ruckmen are overrated and the position is overrated in general. Paying Grundy that much is nuts.

Not often we agree, their forward line is seriously shit especially now that actual natural forwards are needed in the game and not just competitors to keep the ball locked in. DeGoey the only natural forward of all of them. Their forward line is so pre 2021.
Its the best shift in the game we have seen in years. A forward line that boasted Mihocek and Cox as key pillars should never have been good enough to be at the pointy end of the season.

Lets not get to carried away just yet.....one of the undefeated sides is running around with:

HF: K.Pickett, T.McDonald, A.Neal-Bullen
F: C.Spargo, L.Jackson, B.Fritsch

Another undefeated side has Bruce & Naughton as their main men......

Pickett and Fritsch both natural forwards, plus Petracca.
Naughton is/will be an absolute star of the competition, Bruce not so much lol

The Dogs' having such a strong marking forward line is almost as handy as the dozen midfielders they have.

Greenwood is listed as playing.

Hoskin-Elliot is an out (managed) which makes two changes in the forwards.

I was surprised they dropped Cox because in the final last year he got them away to a flyer. Perhaps he will be the sub?
