It was an absolute belter of a day. $100 a head gave you bacon and egg rolls for brekky, 18 holes of golf, all your piss whilst playing golf including pies and pasties while playing. After golf there was a 3 course lunch with all your beer, wines and bubbly supplied. Main course was eye fillet steak and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Great value for money and our group won too which was handy. We ended up with two nights accommodation each in a spa room with balcony at McCracken with golf included so we're going to take the girls with us for a golf weekend as they like a hit too. Something to consider next year if anyone wants to play in a good day and get away for a weekend.

PS - I got poleaxed and got home around 9.30pm so was a good 13 hour session on this piss.

sat morning

1st group off the 10th

first tee shot was a glorious baby draw
no idea where that came from.
outside of that a handy little flop shot over some bunkers from 35m to within 2ft was a highlight.

put in the $8 5w from an auction years ago. hit that off the 18th and it went gun barrel straight

outside of those 3 shots, the rest was just hacker central

The course is in shit condition and, according to rumour, its days are numbered.

Yeah I did hear it wasn't too flash and is being turned into a 9 hole course in 6 months time. Might play at Victor instead if it's too shit.

Discovery Parks took over McCracken late last year, and you'd assume they have plans to upgrade/change the setup down there.

Thats disappointing, I was a founding member down there, cost $250 and we used to drive down every fortnight to play. I guess they are sitting on a gold mine with that much land so it would be hard to knock back millions from developers.
