Is it Dani Laidley now officially? Along with Bomber a tragic figure these days.

Dutchy and Spargo, you lads might be best to answer this .. Are you seeing some similarities with what Noble's doing at Arden St with what he did at the Bay?

He only had a year at the bay and took over us at a pretty low eb so there was only one way to go, we had a good run 2 years after he left us so its hard to know if any of that was his influence.

FWIW, what he is doing at NM now is exactly what the club needs, focussing on the future in everything we do and putting the building block in place. Wins would be nice and a good sugar hit but certainly dont want them if they are just going to cover over the cracks.

As a fan what he said last week was the biggest load of shit I've heard, supporters want to see improvements and when you're not winning that's the only thing you can improve upon, winning.

Internally the players and coaching staff get to see in very detailed reviews the small improvements in process that, they feel, will ultimately all come together and deliver the 'W'.

Selling process to fans isn't a great plan.

I actually liked what I heard from with focus on the processes which, in conjunction with some onfield improvements, made me think the Roos are certainly going the right way about it. Im not a member or supporter though, so your view may well have merit :-??

Nothing wrong with selling 'process' to fans.
I'm sure North fans understand where they are, and if they can see the game plan that Noble is trying to implement , what's the problem???
Surely by being transparent helps keep the fans on board. So long as the Board sticks with it.

As a fan or member of a side who has won one game in over a year you don't need to be told about them working on the process, "They f*cking better be!" would be my reply "If not, what the f*ck are they doing"?".

If you need to be told that's what they're doing behind closed doors you cannot have any faith in them at all, I'm expecting that's exactly what they're doing!

End of the day he will be judged on Win/Loss record, Im happy to back him in.

2 weeks back we were 3 goals up in the 3rd quarter against the best side in the comp, last week we were down by 5 goals at half time and clawed our way back to within a goal. Played OK at Geelong and look at their form since. Little things.

Some luck with injuries wouldn't go astray either, we only have 27 fit players to pick from atm.

Hawks have almost as bad a record as us, they have won 4 (2 by under a goal) of their last 21 games.

We play North twice this year, nothing surer than us dropping at least one to them

Having lived through teams that were shit, if you can see what they're trying to do and are moreso trying to play positively than yes, I'm happy to let that process play out.

And they've still got Hartigan, Gunston, Shiels 29, Ceglar, Breust 30, McEvoy 31 and Burgoyne 38 to turn over and another 7 players over 26. If a rebuild is 3-5 years in the making they have 14 players to turn over ( excluding Patton and Scully ) before they work out where the list actually is.

World of hurt heading to Glenferrie.

Getting Hartigan at end of last year, and giving him 3 years, was a really weird one. How does Clarko justify that?

Thought it might give his Collingwood side a better chance when they line up against the Hawks in 2022? ;)
