Coff not sure hasn’t played for Salisbury North the last two weeks

What's Hill's injury, nothing mentioned anywhere,
I've asked the club to do a weekly injury update.

For years now the club does not release a full injury list.
Ben Kelly been out for a few weeks now but not on injury list.

Think there is a father son rule if the family wants it.
Fielkes son played juniors at West Adelaide despite living at gawler
Stu Cochrane son is at centrals but doesn't live in zone
I think slade was probably fine to let his kid play at sturt, also with Michael wakelins kid. Think slade in particular has forgotten his roots.

There is a father / son rule.

Many use it and follow their Dad, others don't.

I expect Luca Slade has followed his school mates to Sturt from a young age and enjoyed it there.

Yep dont have to live in the zone to play where your father did, hence important for clubs to keep in close contact with their past players.

I wouldn't think Matt Slade's love for the CDFC and its people are any less. They (the Slades) live in the eastern suburbs, Matt teaches at Prince Alfred College and, Luca's mates from PAC play at Sturt. He was in our U/13's, 14's and 15's .I think it'd be a logistic dliemma trying to transport a 15 year old schoolboy from Kent Town to Elizabeth and back twice a week for training from November to April for thee years while Luca completes his secondary education. I wouldn't think it's anything other than that.

Been happening for years, look at the Robrans.
They wanted to play with friends they grew up with and Barrie never even considered pressuring them to go to North even though it was probably only a 10 min drive!

Yep, off the top of my head in the last 10 years Norwood had the sons of Neil Button (Sturt), Stephen Rowe (WWT) and Tim McNeil (WWT) all play at other clubs. Understandable kids feel more comfortable playing locally and/or with their mates.

I thought I saw the name Schwerdt the other day, possibly Norwood reserves. Not a real common name, I wonder if related to Stephen or Patrick?

I think with the Robrans they didn't want to play under a certain coach. They were actually in North's zone and had to get a clearance to Norwood. They did go to school in the Norwood area.
On the other hand Ben Jarman and Ryan Burton both came from the Western side of town to play juniors and then seniors at North.

I’m guessing then it was Nunan that they didn’t want to play under?
Can you confirm/deny that when Nunan was appointed coach he took down photos of Barrie in the club & said “You’re all living in the past” or words to that effect...
