Massively gutsy to even be in a position that the umps could influence it, they just kept at it, credit for that where its due.
Finally had a chance to see the last few mins, Keays wasn't anymore holding the ball than others that have been missed. Seems like he got a handball out to be honest.

As for the deliberate out of bounds, lol gotta take them when they go your way lol.

I have heard reports that the deliberate in question had deflected of the Melbourne defenders hand as it was disposed. I’m yet to be convinced of that...

It did, it hit Charlie Spargo’s hand. He doesn’t appeal for a deliberate

What vision are you seeing that?
The vision on channel 7 shows it from behind so you can’t tell.
The player doesn’t appeal for it though like you said which is strange.

100% deliberate, anyone saying otherwise has missed all the howlers that have been called deliberate this year that weren't. Zurhaar from North sprayed a shot on goal and it was paid. This guy handballs it over his defensive boundary line from 10m away and it isn't.

Keays should have been pinged but the HTB is stuffed and it’s a raffle at the best of times. The deliberate call was shocking but until the grey areas are removed we will see it more often. I have no doubt though that the umpire lacked the fortitude to make the call in hostile territory. I reckon the “home” side would get the same call 99% of the time

There was a defensive clearance bomb snap from Stewart I think yesterday on goal line, cleared the D50 bounced at right angles and somehow called Deliberate.
I mean that decision felt like it was soccer and last Touch out of bounds...

That handball was Deliberate.

On a side note the umpiring this week has hit its lowest ebb.

Rules need to go back to how they were, the old KISS formula comes to mind here.

It's clear the AFL just want this to turn into Union with the ball constantly moving.

Yep, HTB the worst.
Go back to paying incorrect disposal regardless of prior opportunity. If you don’t get a kick or legitimate handball it’s a free unless the ball is knocked loose in the tackle.
