We were only talking about this last week.. often the people filming try to zoom right in on the action, then move the camera to follow the ball in flight which is frustrating.

From a coaching view, would rather have it zoomed out further so less movement required, and then you get an idea also around positioning of guys near the next phase... but.. better to have poor footage than no footage at all.

Have you been to a game at Norwood Oval?
The vision on the screen is 1:1 (ie) its exactly the same as you can see with the naked eye
That's fine if you are near the middle but crapola if you are at either end
The general view is it's done for the coach not the spectators

Funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

Morphies decide to try and psych us out by warming up at our end - so both teams were warming up at our end - big red and blue huddle right in the middle of their goal kicking drills
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

Wasn’t at the game but did hear about it. It was the first time that we have played up at Hope Valley and agree the home team should always have the right of way when warming up before the game. Would have been good to know before we ran out what end you wanted us.

Lol at Hope Valley, the change rooms are on the South side.. once you climb the 15 flights of stairs the away interchange is on the south side as you come up.. so usually most people just move to the Southern end goals.

Wouldn’t have thought you needed a bloody map to find the way to that end

Having said that, **** HV.. the spectators down that end from the C grade would’ve been ropable, and that excites me - good from MP

Pulteney B grade on weekend looked fantastic there ball movement was very quick not sure how they are sitting so low on the table - Both A grade sides on weekend had a handful of players out & I thought was quite a good game. Bottom half of top 5 is going to be very interesting - I think its going to come down to Mitcham & SMOSH - feel as though Hope Valley will win alot of there games at home & will secure the fourth spot. Going to be an interesting few weeks with Smosh playing Hope valley & SMOSH playing Mitcham which could determine the bottom half of the 5.

Sander not playing for Mitcham was a big factor - he dominated the ruck earlier in the year and fed Cromarty all day, which allowed the other lads to go to work. Without him Saturday, it put the Hawks automatically on the back footy.

With the exception of the 3rd quarter, the rest of the game was quite even, the difference being Pulteney took their chances forward, whilst Mitcham's kicking up forward was quite wayward.

Unfortunately in regards to the second part relating to the table position, the B grade at Blues is very young and inexperienced and for a lot of them it's their first full season of genuine senior footy - steep learning curve, and with that inconsistency not only week to week but during games from quarter to quarter.

Have also lacked someone forward to straighten us up - in games we lost we have had just as many if not more F50 entries, just haven't been able to get return for effort.

Anyway, A grade ladder is shaping up as a beauty, should be an interesting last 6 games.. I think Mitcham holds onto 5th, and Rd 17 Woody Sth v Pulteney probably decides who stays and who goes next year.

Is there a team that has changed divisions more often than Woody south over the past 10-15 years. Always seem to be in a relegation battle or playing a GF. Im sure someone will shoot me down with stats, just feels that way

I'd extend that out to 20 years.. always felt they seem to go from D2 to D6 then back up to around D4 and down again over the years.

Yeah the Sander out is a big out - not having a genuine ruckman you are always going to struggle.
The Mitcham vs Smosh game in a couple weeks is going to be an absolutely huge game - whoever wins could be the team who sneaks into the finals. No gillett or Smyth for that game will seriously hurt too. Gillett 6 week suspension downgraded to 4 weeks apparently - still flabbergasted it got more then 2 weeks tbh -
Yeah can be a bit hit or miss Woody souths - they can be hard to beat down at there home ground though - I reckon they might survive and Pulteney might go down.

Bedge you watch a lot of div4 football what’s your opinion on Raymond headland. Having a fair season considering kilburn position on the ladder. Is he top 5 player in div4?

He’s pretty handy. Athletic, agile, good vertical leap and quick recovery. I actually mentioned to Arch at 1/2 time, only way Kilburn wins is if he plays mostly forward in the 2nd half - whilst the Chics lack mid depth, him going in there ruined their potency forward and didn’t look like having an impact.

Certainly Kilburn’s most important, certainly an X factor.. but not top 5 in the Comp.

Ladder after Round 13:
22 - Pembroke OS
20 - Walkerville
20 - Morphettville Park
14 - SMOSH West Lakes
14 - Hope Valley
----------------------

14 - Mitcham
10 - Gepps Cross
08 - Pulteney
06 - Woodville South
02 - Kilburn

Round 14:
Kilburn vs Morphettville Park
Pembroke OS vs Pulteney
Hope Valley vs Woodville South
Mitcham vs SMOSH West Lakes
Walkerville vs Gepps Cross

5 rounds to go, and still reasonably tight - 3 sides fighting for top spot, if not top 3.. 4 sides fighting for 4th and 5th spot - Gepps Cross still within reach, and capable.

Gepps Cross also in a 3-way battle to avoid relegation with Pulteney and Woodville South, although one more win should be enough to get them out of that discussion.

Round 17 and 18 this year will be very interesting, we wont know the final make up of each position until that's completed, so many potential "what ifs" to be played out.. and surely another upset or two still on the cards to come.

Forster watch:
80 goals, 20 to go from minimum 7 games

Forster raffle: I think he gets there 3rd quarter, Round 17, Northern end in front of the Hope Valley faithful, from the clubroom pocket... to add more drama, missing to the near side but the goal umpire awards it, sending the HV fans hysterical.

I've been consistent since end of last year, this would be my final season coaching.

It's true though, that the A grade coaching position will be vacated. I believe the club is hoping to use the next few weeks to get a jump on finding the suitable candidates to fill the role, before advertising. Tod has been good for the club over his time, and unfortunately has been dealt a rough hand with injuries / unavailability over the past two seasons.

The decision was Tod's alone. The colder weather has been playing havoc on his body, has a relatively new job which has been very demanding, and plenty of holiday plans with his wife that have been placed on hold so he can coach.

Players were informed last week, the Kilburn game played no part on this, just sadly was a shit result to compound a tough week.
